How did I get infected with?

The SuperSearch adware is not an ingenious virus. It cannot hack your computer. This parasite is a simple application. And just like any other app, it needs your, the user’s, approval. The parasite has no choice but to ask if you agree to its admission. So, why did you approve its installation? Do you even remember doing so? We won’t be surprised if you don’t! The adware knows how to ask. It does it in the sneakiest way possible. If you don’t pay close attention to the fine details, you are very likely to install it unintentionally. Don’t be confused. The scheme is simple. The adware hides in software bundles and torrents. It often poses as a fake update. It might even arrive as an email attachment. All these distribution techniques, however, will fail if you do your due diligence. Your caution is the key to a secure and infection-free computer. Don’t be lazy. Even a little extra caution goes a long way. Download your software from reputable sources only. Don’t rush through any installation process. When available, select the Advanced/Custom installation option. If additional programs are about to be installed, deselect them. These third-party apps, more often than not, are parasites like the SuperSearch adware. Make sure you deselect them. Before you click that “Install” button, read the terms and conditions. Of course, you can use an online EULA analyzer to speed up this step. If you detect anything out of the ordinary, abort the installation!

Why is this dangerous?

The SuperSearch adware is bad news. This intruder is annoying and dangerous – the worst possible combination. It interferes with your every online action. It doesn’t matter whether you type a search inquire or watch an online video, the adware is always there to annoy you. It floods your browser with advertisements. You cannot get a simple task done without being interrupted. And when you finally decide that you are used to its presence, the pest surprises you with something new! Given enough time this intruder gets out of control. Do not wait for this scenario to unfold. You will not like the consequences. The adware is too hazardous to be kept on board. It threatens to steal sensitive information and to expose it to criminals. Anyone willing to pay can use the adware and its resources. Numerous crooks do. They prepare misleading and false ads and force them on you. They show you what you want to see. But, when you click, bad things happen. The adware has no security mechanism. It cannot protect you against online frauds. Quite the contrary – it turns you into an easy target. Do not let it succeed. Protect yourself! Remove the SuperSearch adware ASAP! The sooner it’s gone, the better!
