Hijacker Removal

Can’t Remove hijacker virus? This page includes detailed Removal instructions!

The appearance of the website as your new homepage is a sign. A sign that your PC harbors a nasty browser hijacker. The hijacker is a malicious program. It is designed to be stealthy and at the same time, extremely intrusive. The hijacker enters your computer in complete silence. It adds its malicious extension to your browser. The malicious utility replaces your homepage as well as your default search engine. From this point onward, every advert you are exposed to will be provided by the hijacker. This furtive app uses a pay-per-click scheme to generate revenue for its owners. Basically, for every advert you click on, they will get paid. They will be even better paid for every website you get redirected to. And so, the hijacker will redirect you to numerous third-party websites. Do not waste your time there. These pages are not verified. They are far more likely to be scams than to be legit. Avoid all commercials altogether. Anyone willing to pay can use the hijacker to promote. Hackers included. One click on a corrupted advert is all it takes for a virus to be downloaded. Avoiding the adverts, however, may not be that easy. The hijacker is designed to generate clicks. It will open pop-ups right under the cursor of your mouse. Eventually, you will click on one. It will also inject dozens and dozens of ad banners, in-text adverts, sliding banners, and hyperlinks on every page you open. Your screen will be covered in advertisements. The hijacker can also pause your online videos for commercial breaks. Luckily, you are stuck with one relatively easy to remove type of parasite. We have provided a detailed removal guide down below. You can also use a trustworthy anti-virus app to remove this pest for you. You have options. Clean your PC for good!

How did I get infected with?

The hijacker did not materialize by magic. This infection is a simple computer program. As any other program, it needs your approval to be installed. Yet, it doesn’t need to ask you openly. The hijacker uses a lot of trickery. It travels hidden in software bundles, spam emails, and fake software updates. What these techniques rely on is your carelessness. Be vigilant instead. Whenever you are installing a program, opt for the Advanced option in the Setup Wizard. It can be a button or tab. Use it. Under the advanced installation, you will be presented with a list of all extra apps that are about to be installed. Examine the list carefully. These third-party tools, more often than not, are corrupted. Deselect all suspicious elements. Keep in mind that you can deselect all extras and still install the program you originally planned to set up. This is your computer. You are responsible for its security. So, don’t be lazy. Always do your due diligence!

Why is this dangerous?

The hijacker is a menace that should not be tolerated. It has no value for the user. On the contrary, it is an annoyance which can ruin your browsing experience in seconds. The intrusive utility bombards its victims with numerous commercials. Yet, it does not verify them. All sorts of crooks take advantage of the situation. Be prepared. You will be introduced to “great deals,” financial software, PC optimization tools, free online gaming platforms, etc. Do not trust these commercials. They are very likely to be scams. Question everything. Avoiding the commercials, however, is not an option. The hijacker will trick you into clicking unintentionally. This utility injects fake entries among the search results you are provided with. It doesn’t matter which search engine you use, the hijacker can manipulate the results. The utility has corrupted your browser. It controls what is being displayed on your screen. The fake entries are adverts. Yet, they are not marked as such. Dodgy websites pay hefty sums for their links to be displayed at the top. You cannot trust your PC. Your best course of action is the immediate removal of the hijacker. The sooner it is gone, the better!
