How did I get infected with?

Freeware. That’s how you most likely got stuck with TigerTrade. Yes, there are other ways it could have snuck into your system. But that’s the most probable one. How come? Well, freeware offers, arguably, the easiest entry point. That’s because, users don’t pay enough attention, when installing it. Instead of doing due diligence, they rush. They don’t bother reading the terms and conditions at all. They rush to say YES to everything, and hope for the best. To leave your fate to chance is a colossal mistake. Don’t give into naivety or haste. Don’t choose carelessness over caution. Even a little extra attention goes a long way. Don’t discard the importance of vigilance. Make sure to know what you agree to allow into your computer. Avoid any unpleasant surprises. Since infection s prey on carelessness, don’t provide it. Instead, choose the opposite approach. Always take your time, and be extra careful.

Why is this dangerous?

TigerTrade is an ad-supported tool. That means, if it’s to survive, it has to make money. The application has to produce clicks. It has to generate web traffic, and pay-per-click revenue. Or, it gets taken down, and falls into oblivion. That’s why, it bombards you with so many ads, and redirects you to so many pages. It hopes that the bombardment will result in clicks. And, since they are essential for its survival, it makes them count. Don’t think you see random content. Oh, no. Everything, you see on your screen, got selected for you, and you alone. The adware makes sure only to display appropriate content. Before its avalanche of ads and pages begins, it studies you. It makes sure to learn what interests you. Once it grasps what you find appealing, it bombards you with it. You only see what it deems would entice you into clicks. Press nothing! If you do, you’ll regret it. To trust anything, the tool throws at you, is a mistake. One, with severe consequences. So, don’t make it. In fact, do what’s best for you and your system, and remove it ASAP. The sooner you get rid of the infection, the better.
