How did I get infected with?

Sharepal is a sneaky parasite. It uses trickery to get on your system unnoticed. The parasite uses torrents, fake updates, software bundles, and corrupted links. All it needs to succeed is one moment of carelessness. The thing about this adware is that it cannot get installed without your approval. Its distribution strategies deliver it to your OS. That’s all they can do. Only you can install the parasite. It’s not that simple, of course. The parasite uses camouflage. It lurks in the shadows and waits for you to let your guard down. Sharepal preys on your naivety. It also relies on your recklessness. Do not make its job easier. Choose caution over carelessness. One keeps the parasites away, the other – invites them in. Download your software from reliable sources only. When installing an app, pay close attention to the fine print. More often than not, the apps we download off the web come bundled with bonus programs. The extras are often parasites like Sharepal. If you rush through the installation process, you might install unwanted programs. Make sure you know what you are giving your approval to. If available, use the advanced/custom setup option. And don’t skip the terms and conditions. If you cannot spare enough time to read the whole document, scan it with an online EULA analyzer. Abort the installation process if you notice anything suspicious.

Why is this dangerous?

Sharepal is more than a mere annoyance. This parasite is quite dangerous. It jeopardizes both your security and privacy. The adware follows you around the web, records your online habits and uses the collected data as a base for ad targeting. This parasite records and catalogs your every online activity. Even the Incognito mode of your browser cannot hide you. The adware knows everything. And when it deems it has enough data, it sends it to a remote server. Anyone willing to pay can access it there. Numerous crooks do. They use the collected information to create irresistible adverts. They would then use the adware to push them on you. The crooks show you what you want to see, but when you click, bad things happen. The Sharepal parasite turns its victims into easy targets. This nasty parasite gets paid to promote not to guarantee your security. Do not risk falling into an online trap. Remove this invader ASAP!
