How did I get infected with?

Adware displays the ads. The parasite slithers into your computer and throws you into a whirlwind of ads. Its infiltration process is so unnoticeable, that users often mistake the parasite for a virus. That’s not true! You are not dealing with a virus, but with an intrusive app. And just like any other application, this adware can’t get installed without your, the user’s, approval. No permission, no admission! The parasite is bound to seek your consent. Note, though, that having to ask is not the same as having to do so outright. This menace travels the Web hidden in software bundles, fake updates, corrupted links, and spam messages. The adware hides in the shadows. It infects your PC when you throw caution to the wind! Don’t make that mistake! No anti-virus app can protect you if you give into naivety. Only your actions can keep your computer free of infections. So, make the right choice. Be vigilant instead of careless. Always take the time to do your due diligence. Don’t visit questionable websites. Download software and updates from reliable sources only. Forget about the “Next-Next-Finish” setup strategy. When available, use the advanced/custom option. And before you hit that “Accept” button, go through the terms and conditions. If you can’t read the whole document, scan it with an online EULA analyzer. Even a little extra attention can spare you an avalanche of problems. Don’t hesitate to opt out of the installation if you notice anything suspicious!

Why is this dangerous?

The ads are a plague. You can’t get a simple task done without being interrupted by one. Dozens and dozens of ads flood your browser on a daily basis. Their great number, of course, causes issues, such as underperformance and freezing. You face an avalanche of errors. Don’t waste time complaining about these issues, though. You have bigger problems! Just take a look at the “Brought to you by” pop-ups and you’ll notice the full extent of the corruption. The ads are related to your recent online activities because you are under surveillance! The adware studies your online habits and bases its ads on the collected information. It spies on you from day one. It knows your every online step. And when it deems it has enough data, it proceeds to sell everything! Do you think that ends well? Some pieces of information, your search queries, for example, may leak personal and financial details. Don’t risk it! Protect yourself and your privacy. Remove the adware ASAP!
