Remove DragonBoost Adware (Removal Guide)

Can’t Remove DragonBoost ads? This page includes detailed ads by DragonBoost Removal instructions!

The name DragonBoost may sound really cool but it’s actually the name of a virus. This adware-type infection slithers itself on your PC in silence and starts wreaking havoc ASAP. Hence, it gives you plenty of reasons to take action. Don’t waste time. We have never come across a harmless virus and, probably, neither have you. DragonBoost will not boost your PC speed. It will slow down your machine to a crawl, though. Adware-type programs in general are extremely deceptive and irritating. For starters, this pest modifies your browsers behind your back. It adds an extension or a plugin to them without your permission. You see, hackers didn’t develop the virus to take care of your online experience. No, their goal was much more prosaic. By modifying your browsers, this program injects them with ads. Sponsored, potentially harmful ads. What’s even more problematic is that the DragonBoost pop-ups seem perfectly safe. Keep in mind that nothing generated by a parasite could be harmless. It doesn’t work that way and you know it. The infection generates tailored and specific commercials. Those might lead you to practically all sorts of dangerous websites. You are now exposed to malware on a daily basis. Why give the parasite more opportunities to cause you damage? If this pest spends enough time on your machine, it will eventually get out of control. That is why the dubious DragonBoost must be uninstalled right away. This program bombards you with questionable advertisements. Its pop-ups are also very stubborn as well. They cover all websites you visit or, should we say, attempt to visit. Wave your browsing experience goodbye now that this infection is present. It has absolutely nothing beneficial to offer you. You get redirected to unknown websites and your browsers freeze/crash. In addition, your Internet connection may become unstable all of a sudden. What’s much more worrisome is the fact DragonBoost jeopardizes your privacy. Not only does the virus mess with your browser settings but it also steals personal data. That mainly includes browsing history, IP addresses, email addresses, usernames and passwords. The virus could go one step further, though. DragonBoost might manage to steal some personally identifiable information. Aka, your bank account details and online credentials. To prevent some huge privacy issues, get rid of the parasite now. You will not regret it.

How did I get infected with?

Did you install this program on purpose? Most infections use stealth and deceit to travel the Web, Being a classic cyber parasite, DragonBoost follows the classic infiltration methods too. One particularly popular technique is called freeware and shareware bundling. It is just as effective as it sounds. Next time you download bundled programs, pay close attention. There could be a potential intruder hidden in the bundle. Unless you deselect it on time, you end up infecting your own machine. Voila. In order to prevent malware installation, stay away from unverified bundles. More often than not, illegitimate websites also pose a threat to your security. A rule of thumb is to always opt for the Custom or Advanced option in the Setup Wizard. That allows you to spot and deselect any malicious bonus. You neither want nor need such a bonus in your life. Instead of letting a vicious parasite loose, be cautious. Check out the Terms and Conditions or EULA (End User License Agreement) as well. Skipping installation steps may seem like a good idea at the time but it’s actually not. Unless you’re in complete control of the installation process, it could be crooks. Those are the last people who should be in charge so don’t let it. Put your safety first and watch out for infections.

Why is this dangerous?

DragonBoost alters your own browser settings. On your own computer. The parasite might also install additional toolbars and cause an even greater headache that way. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer all fall victims to this infection. They display unsafe and unwanted pop-up ads that you must stay away from. Discounts, coupons, product offers, various deals, etc. All of these are sponsored and extremely unreliable. Cyber criminals use the pay-per-click mechanism to gain effortless revenue online. Hence, you’re becoming a sponsor of hackers just by keeping their virus on board. It goes without saying that crook’s business shouldn’t be tolerated. Every cent hackers gain will be used to create more and more infections. That is how more and more innocent PC users end up in trouble. DragonBoost could generate fake program updates as well. This nuisance must be deleted for good. To do so manually, please follow our detailed removal guide down below.
