How did I get infected with?

BetterAds does not appear out of thin air on your computer one day. It sure seems that way. But it’s not the case. In reality, you’re the one, who allowed the tool in. You permitted its admission, after it sought your consent. Oh, yes. You may find it hard to believe, but an exchange did take place. It’s not surprising that you have no memory of it. You may be a bit confused now, but you’ll see it’s rather simple. Let’s elaborate. Adware tools have to ask whether the user agrees to install them. BetterAds asked you if you consent to let it into your PC. The application can proceed with installment only after your okay. So, it cannot enter without you giving it the green light. And, it has no way around asking your permission. These tools have found a way to still follow the rules, while bending them slightly. They do seek your approval. But they do it in quite the sneaky manner. It’s so sneaky that if you’re not careful enough, they slip by you. And, that’s what adware programs count on. Your carelessness. All the means of infiltration revolve around your lack of attention. Fake updates, freeware, spam email attachments, corrupted links. There’s a plethora of methods with which adware gain covertly gain passage. But all rely on your distraction, naivety, and haste. The infection needs you to rush, and throw caution to the wind. Don’t oblige. Don’t make it easier for a cyber threat to infiltrate your system, only to then wreck it. Instead of carelessness, turn to vigilance. It goes a long way, and can save you a ton of troubles. Always take the time to do your due diligence. You won’t regret it.

Why is this dangerous?

As was already explained, BetterAds puts your privacy at risk. But it does more than that. It doesn’t only jeopardize your private life. The tool’s presence throws you into a whirl of grievances. Its existence on your system leads to an abundance of issues. They start out small, as mere minor inconveniences. It begins with your browsing. All of a sudden, you can’t open your browser without suffering a bombardment. The application floods you with advertisements. All kinds: pop-up, in-text, banner, take your pick. They’re all there. And, they’re not alone. You also get redirected to a bunch of third-party websites, which all seem suspicious. And, do you know what? Nothing, the adware displays, can get deemed ‘trustworthy.’ Everything it shows you is unreliable. And, to trust it for face-value is to set yourself up for further troubles. Click nothing, BetterAds throws at you. That may prove difficult, considering it interrupts you constantly. You suffer its meddling all day, every day. It reshuffles various system settings, and ends up forcing unwanted changes on you. Not to mention, the online disruptions’ repercussions. All those ads and redirects don’t go unnoticed. Their incessant display leads to a slower computer performance. As well as, to frequent system crashes. As you may have gathered already, it’s not a pleasant experience to harbor adware. BetterAds does not belong on your PC. You have nothing positive to gain from its presence. Only headaches and unpleasantness. Do what’s best for you and your system, and delete it ASAP.
