The hijacker is not as dangerous as Trojans are. Yet, this parasite should not be neglected. It creates a virtual layer that forces ads on all opened websites. It also blocks content from its competitors. You will see only what the tool allows you to see. And that is not even the tip of the iceberg. Any ad displayed by the hijacker may be harmful. The people behind the furtive tool don’t care about your security. Anyone willing to spend some money can promote with the hijacker. Hackers often use such malicious apps to spread corrupted links and ads. If you have the misfortune to click on a malicious ad, malware will be downloaded directly to your PC. There is no way to tell which ads are corrupted and which are not. Try not to click on any while your computer remains infected. This, however, is easier said than done. The hijacker will open pop-up windows right under the cursor of your mouse. If you are not paying attention, you may click on such a pop-up unintentionally. The consequences may be devastating if you get redirected to an infected website. There, a drive-by download will be executed. These types of downloads are completely automatic.
