How did I get infected with?

Aren’t you a little but curious as to how this devious program sneaked in? If you aren’t, you definitely should be. The thing with viruses it, they still need some kind of a permission to infiltrate computers because, after all, they are nothing but computer programs. Their presence depends on you. The sneaky VNPapps virus doesn’t deviate from the rules in any department so at least after you learn its tactics, you will be aware of the most commonly used trickery that adware-type programs offer. One of the plausible explanations why the VNPapps parasite is currently wreaking havoc on your device is because you involuntarily downloaded it yourself. Bundled freeware, for example, is an extremely popular distribution method. It allows stealthy installation of practically every type of virus along with the actual software you were originally going for and the whole thing happens secretively. In case you ever wondered what is worse than having a PC virus – it’s having a PC virus and not knowing about it. However old and painfully unoriginal that trick is, we can’t deny the fact it’s incredibly efficient. Bundles cause troubles to thousands of PC users every year. To prevent such mischief in the future, you should always opt for the Advanced/Custom option in the Setup Wizard and install software from its legitimate website only. Avoid all kinds of third-party web links; don’t install anything that you don’t trust. More often than not, if something looks dangerous, it really is.

Why are these ads dangerous?

What do you think – is a computer virus safe? Come on, make a guess. The VNPapps parasite will not only constantly disturb your browsing experience, it will also put your machine and even personal information in danger. To begin with, VNPapps soils your computer with commercials. All of them generate illegal revenue for the hackers standing behind the virus, all of them are very hard to remove and all of them should be unquestionably avoided. The VNPapps infection offers quite an impressive variety of pop-ups, pop-unders, in-texts and banners as well as different coupons, discounts, offers, deals, price comparisons, etc. It’s utterly irrelevant whether you want to be seeing these ads or not; the virus injects all your browsers with commercials and turns browsing the web into a real cyber disaster. This malicious program is compatible with the most commonly used browsers out there so it will successfully take down Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Hackers only care for their pay-per-click profit, therefore they will redirect you to any website that helps them make money. Keep in mind that whether the links VNPapps displays are corrupted or safe, is not important for the crooks. It’s only important for you. You should be very careful when it comes to dealing with those ads and you should stay away from anything labeled “Brought by VNPapps”, including commercials, software updates, third-party web links and so on. We already mentioned that this malicious program uses unfair tactics to steal your browsing-related information but you should also know that hackers will certainly find a way to make money out of your own data. Are you not feeling comfortable becoming a sponsor of cyber criminals? Then get rid of their parasite. As your browsers will be constantly overwhelmed with ads, texts and pop-ups, don’t be surprised when it starts occasionally crashing and freezing. The Internet connection might have some difficulties too and your overall Internet experience will be inevitably deeply affected. The VNPapps virus will simply keep messing with you until you delete it for good. To help you do so manually, we’ve provided a detailed removal guide down below.
