Can’t Remove UCGuard Service? This page includes detailed UCGuard Service Removal instructions!
The UCGuard Service is associated with a popular Chinese shopping website. This service is not a virus. Yet, it is not completely safe. We classify it as a potentially unwanted program (PUP). This tool sneaks into your computer uninvited and installs itself. Once on board, it acts as a typical ad-supported program. It monitors your web related data and targets ads. This tool can cause your web browser to freeze and crash. It uses an enormous amount of computer resources. It may also cause some older machines to crash frequently. This, of course, leads to data loss. The UCGuard Service may not strike as dangerous parasite, yet, it should not be ignored. This app is a backdoor to your system. It weakens your security. Cyber criminals can use it to distribute malicious apps and even viruses to your PC. This app can never be beneficial to you. Its removal, on the other hand, can benefit your computer. It will run much faster without the PUP. Besides, your online experience will also improve. The UCGuard Service forces advertisements on you. It creates ad-layer which injects adverts on all open websites. Even on the pages that are otherwise ad-free. The PUP has full control over your web browser. It can open pop-up windows, redirect you to shady websites and install plugins. Thus, it can corrupt your browser even further. Do yourself a favor, remove this intruder before it is too late.
How did I get infected with UCGuard Service?
The UCGuard Service appeared out of the blue. You have never heard this name before. This was the plan. No one will infect their PC with a malicious tool. Hence, malware developers have found ways to bypass the user permission. The UCGuard Service uses not one, but many techniques to travel the web. It might have used a drive-by download to get on your computer. These downloads are automatic. They start without the user’s interaction and have no visualization. Some websites execute such downloads. This practice can be classified as an invasion into your personal space. It is illegal in many countries, yet, many websites always manage to get away with it. Other commonly used distribution method is the so-called bundling method. Developers attach additional programs to the installation files of many free apps. If you are not vigilant, you can install these extras without realizing it. When installing a program, which method do you prefer: the standard/fast one or the advanced/custom option? If you prefer the fast option, you must change your habits. The standard setup is completely automatic. It will install all extra programs without your explicit approval. The only way to prevent this is to use the custom setup wizard. Don’t be afraid to use it. This method is not complicated. Under it, you will be presented with a list of all programs that are about to be installed. You can deselect all extras and still install the program you originally planned to set up. This is your computer. You are the one who decides what to be installed on it. Before you install a program, make sure you understand what you are agreeing to. Read the terms and conditions/EULA. If you spot anything out of the ordinary, abort the installation immediately.
Why is UCGuard Service dangerous?
The UCGuard Service can never be beneficial to you. This tool is designed to bombard you with tons of advertisements. It will force you to watch videos. Pop-up messages will state that a software of yours needs an update. Coupons and discounts will blink in all imaginable colors. The PUP will ruin your online experience. These issues, however, are minor compared to what is happening behind your back. The UCGuard Service monitors your online activities. All of them. Which pages you view, what search inquiries you make. Everything! The collected data is available for sale to third parties. Anyone can buy your information. Can you imagine what may happen if a hacker buys your data? Oh, yes. PUPs are interested in such information. The PUP can, after all, record your email addresses, usernames, passwords, etc. If you use your PC to pay the bills or to make an online purchase, the furtive tool will record your billing address and credit card details. You wouldn’t want such information to get in the hands of cyber criminals. Act against the infection. Follow our guide or download a trustworthy anti-virus program. The sooner you clean your PC, the better!
