Your anti-virus app may also detect it as PUP.AD.SYSTEMAREV. This PUP is an invader which takes control of your browsing experience. Once on board, it wastes no time. The parasite infects all installed web browsers and turns them into ad-displaying tools. Systemarev uses aggressive strategies to turn you from a visitor into a customer. It is so annoying and intrusive that it’s often referred to as a “virus”. Luckily, it’s not. The PUP cannot corrupt your entire system on its own. It limits its influence to your browsers. Yet, bear in mind that it may redirect you to infected websites, and thus, infect your system with additional parasites. Do not underestimate the situation. The PUP has no place on your computer. It is a menace that must be removed immediately. The more time you grant it on board, the worse your situation becomes. Systemarev gets more and more aggressive with each passing day. It drowns its victims in a sea of adverts. If you think that your situation is bad now, just wait. The PUP will flood your browser with various ads. Every website you visit will get heavy on banner and in-text ads. Every video you watch will get paused for long commercial breaks. When you least expect it, third-party web pages will load automatically. Pop-ups and pop-unders will cover your screen every time you as much as touch your browser. And to top it all off, your Internet connection will become slow and unstable. Don’t let the Systemarev PUP get out of control. Spare yourself many future headaches. How did I get infected with Systemarev?

The Systemarev PUP is not an ingenious virus. It cannot hack your computer. The parasite “hacked” you. It tricked you into installing it unintentionally. No, this is not a bad joke. Your reckless actions got you in this trouble. You either clicked on a corrupted link, downloaded fake updates or installed a malicious bundle. The thing is, all these methods would have failed if you were a bit more cautious. The PUP relies on your naivety. Don’t make its job easier. Be vigilant instead. Confused? Let’s explain. The software bundles, for example, rely on your cooperation. The crooks attach the parasite as an extra to the payload file of a third-party app. That’s all they do. Everything else is up to you. When you start an installation of a bundle, you would be asked to choose between a standard and an advanced installation wizard. Select the advanced one. Under it, you’ll be presented with the opportunity to see and deselect all extras that are about to be installed. Do it! Deselect these apps. You don’t need them. If you truly wanted such software, you would have downloaded it by yourself. Furthermore, these unknown apps, more often than not, are parasites like the Systemarev PUP. Do not risk it. Deselect them for good. Also, make sure you read the terms and conditions. Of course, you can use an online EULA analyzer too. If you detect anything out of the ordinary, abort the installation process.

Why is Systemarev dangerous?

The Systemarev is a complete and total menace. Not only does it wreak havoc, it also jeopardizes your privacy. The parasite spies on you. It monitors your every online step. Even the Incognito mode of your browser cannot hide you. Your every online action is recorded and analyzed. As for the collected data, it’s used against you. The Systemarev PUP does not display random advertisements. Oh no, it bases the ads on the collected data. Thus, if you enter “sneakers” into a search engine, you’ll get ads for sports shoes. It looks great on paper. In reality, however, you get flooded with numerous unreliable advertisements. The PUP has no security mechanism. It cannot protect you against online frauds. Quite the opposite, it turns you into a target. The parasite doesn’t verify its ads. Neither does it check the advertisers behind them. Numerous crooks exploit the PUP and its resources. They use it to target potential victims. The crooks prepare irresistible online adverts and push them on you. Yet, when you click, bad things happen. You risk getting redirected to phishing websites, infected pages, and fake web stores. Be extremely careful what you do online. Do not disclose financial and personal information. Or, better yet, remove the Systemarev PUP now!
