How did I get infected with?

This is a rather interesting question having in mind RotaryMasters does not have an official website. The virus travels the web attached to freeware in so-called bundles and once you install the bundle, you also install the unwanted adware. Be careful with such “bonus” programs as RotaryMasters is considered one of the least dangerous PC threats out there. Keep in mind that browser hijackers and Trojans, for example, infiltrate computer using that very same technique. Not paying enough attention to the installation process and rushing through it might turn out to be a crucial mistake. Our advice is to always opt for the custom option and make sure you deselect anything unfamiliar. Furthermore, to protect your device from malicious programs, you should avoid third-party web links as they could be corrupted. Remember – the Internet is a fascinating place but it’s only safe if you make it safe.

Why are these ads dangerous?

As we already mentioned, adware programs aren’t the biggest possible threat for your PC. However, if RotaryMasters spends enough time on your device, it will definitely put you in danger. First of all, the virus injects your browser with an extension that you did not ask for. Its only goal is to spew out the RotaryMasters commercials and to basically pile every single web page you visit under a stack of pop-ups, pop-unders, hyperlinks, in-texts, banners, etc. It doesn’t matter how patient you are, at some point these incredibly intrusive ads will inevitably upset you. What’s even more worrying though is the pages these ads lead you to. Apart from the fact most of them are fake and attempt to steal your money, some of them might also be corrupted. Hackers generate profit by redirecting you so if they get paid well enough, you might end up on a very unreliable web page and cause even further damage to your device. The RotaryMasters parasite successfully affects Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer and that means the ads will appear practically everywhere. The only way to stop them is to stop the virus and to do so, you have to remove it from your computer. There are many other inconveniences you might encounter thanks to RotaryMasters’s presence, such as software installation without your consent, blocked access to some legitimate web pages and new icons popping up on your desktop. Of course, to make the situation even nastier, your PC could underperform and occasionally crash. The RotaryMasters browser extension also collects your browsing-related data (passwords, pages visited, search queries) so its developers can use it against you later on. To sum up, is RotaryMasters really something you need in your life? If you want to get rid of this tricky and potentially very dangerous infection manually, please follow the instructions bellow.
