One useful toolbar can always be a time-saver. Yet, there are many toolbars that have no place on your machine. The InternetSpeedRadar Toolbar is definitely an app you should not keep. Security experts have classified this app as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and a browser hijacker. This tool is responsible for the numerous advertisements you are exposed to recently. You must have noticed the ads, haven’t you? They everywhere. Every website you visit is heavy on ad banners and in-text adverts. It can modify your browser’s settings and turn your online experience into a nightmare. The malicious tool will replace your preferable homepage and default search engine. It will corrupt all search results you see. Your computer is, in fact, useless. You can’t use it to make an objective research. You can’t buy goods online. If you, however, use your PC for such purposes, the toolbar will record your paying details and billing address. The collected data will be sent to the people behind the toolbar.  They can use it against you. They will also sell it to third parties. Do yourself a favor. Remove this malicious tool before it is too late.

How did I get infected with InternetSpeedRadar?

Did you install the InternetSpeedRadar Toolbar? If not, you must be wondering how is it possible for an app to get installed without the user’s approval. Well, there is no such a possibility. To operate on your system the InternetSpeedRadar toolbar needs your permission. And you provided it. Yet, it is not a surprise that you don’t remember doing so. You, after all, were not asked openly. The toolbar may have arrived as a bundled program to some freeware or shareware you downloaded off the web. The scheme is simple. Developers would add extra apps to the installation files of many free programs. Once you initiate the installation of such a bundle, you will be asked which setup method you prefer: the standard or the advanced setup. Choose the advanced. This option is not complicated. Under it, you can see all additional programs that are about to be installed. Deselect all extras. You don’t need so many apps. If you did, you would have downloaded them by yourself. These third party tools never disclose what they are programmed to do. You can never trust them. More often than not, they are malicious or have no use at all. Save some space on your HDD. Deny their installation. If you use the standard setup method, however, all additional programs will be installed without you even noticing them. Crooks rely on your negligence. Other distribution methods are spam emails and fake software updates. A little caution can prevent infections. Always do your due diligence.

Why is InternetSpeedRadar dangerous?

The InternetSpeedRadar toolbar can do numerous things. None of which is useful. On the contrary. This tool may cause some irreversible damage to your machine. It runs on your CPU and uses a lot of RAM. The more ads you see, the slower your computer will become. This app may cause some older machines to freeze and crash frequently. This may lead to data loss. Even newer devices can experience unexpected crashes. This tool is designed to generate revenue for its owners. Your comfort has never been a considered option. You will constantly get redirected to shady websites. Every time you try to follow a link, additional tabs will be opened in your web browser. Coupons and great deals will blink on every website you visit. Can you imagine getting any work done in such conditions? All these issues are minor compared to what is happening behind your back. To select ads that will appeal to you, this app needs some insight. It needs to know what you like and need. To find this information, the furtive app will monitor your browser related data. The problem is, the toolbar may “see” some personally identifiable information. Can you imagine what may happen if a hacker gets in possession of your ID, usernames or passwords? You may lose a lot of money or become a victim of identity theft. The InternetSpeedRadar toolbar can never be beneficial to you. It brings only troubles.
