Can’t Remove Hippig “Virus”? This page includes detailed Hippig Removal instructions!
Luckily, the Hippig “Virus” is actually an ad-supported program (adware). Not a real virus. Yet, it is quite hazardous. This tool generates revenue by using the good old pay-per-click marketing model. To guarantee that you click on sponsored links, this malicious tool will bombard you with tons of commercials. Ad banners will cover every website you visit. Your browser will struggle to display content correctly. You will be contently redirected. When you try to follow a link, additional tabs will open in your browser. On top of that, pop-up windows will appear right under the cursor of your mouse. Thus, trick you into clicking on them unintentionally. Neither your comfort nor privacy is important. The clicks are all this tool cares about. Dealing with this app, you must have noticed that all “great deals” and “huge discounts” are somewhat related to your needs. No, you are not imagining this. The Hippig “Virus” chose those for you. It, after all, knows what you are searching for. The malicious utility is collecting data about your online activities. Everything you do online is recorded. And the data – sent to the people behind this app. They will use the data to select ads that will appeal especially to you. However, the collected information is not used for marketing purposes only. Those people don’t care about your security. They will sell the data to third parties. And if the adware has managed to record sensitive information, you may get in serious trouble. Hackers can use this data to stole money from your banking account. Or, they may blackmail you. The adware can “see” your usernames, passwords, email addresses, etc. You can’t risk such data getting exposed. It is important to act promptly. Remove the Hippig “Virus” as soon as possible!
How did I get infected with?
To operate on your system, the Hippig “Virus” needs your approval. And you provided it. Yes, you did it. Yet, it won’t be a surprise if you don’t remember doing so. You were deceived. The adware might have arrived as a bundled program to some freeware or shareware you downloaded off the web. This method is quite common nowadays. All the developers have to do is to attach the malicious program to the installation file of some regular app. Everything else is you doing. When you’ve started the installation of the bundle, you were asked which setup you prefer: the standard or the custom one. Always choose the advanced/custom wizard. Only under it can you see all extra tools that are about to be installed. Deselect the extras. You don’t need those tools. If you did, you would have downloaded them by yourself. This is your computer. You are the one who decides what to be installed on it. Other malware distribution methods also rely on your carelessness. Torrents, spam emails, fake software updates. All these methods are quite common. Yet, your caution can prevent infections. Always do your due diligence. Download your apps from reliable websites only. When installing a program opt for advanced button or tab. And don’t skip the terms and conditions. As boring as this long text can be, reading it is often the only way you can spot breaches. Read it. You won’t regret it.
Why is this dangerous?
The Hippig adware is responsible for the sea of advertisements you are drowning in recently. This malicious utility is forcing commercial even on websites that used to be ad-free. Pop-up windows disturb your normal web browsing. The thing is, all those ads cannot be trusted. First of all, they are not great deal-finders. On the contrary, they conceal the good deals. The Hippig adware is creating a virtual layer which blocks all content from its competitors. You will see only what the adware allows you to see. Eventually, you will lose track of the current situation on the market. You will become an easy target. Second, the adware has no checking mechanism. As long as they pay, the adware will allow anyone to promote. Hackers often use such applications to spread malicious links. If you click on a corrupted ad, you will be redirected to an infected website. A drive-by download will be executed there. Thus, in a blink of an eye, you may infect your PC with a dangerous virus. There is no way to tell which ads are corrupted and which are not. Avoid all commercials while the Hippig app is running on your device. Do yourself a favor. Put and end to this madness. Follow our guide and delete this parasite for good.
