Remove Cinema Plus 3.2 Ads From Chrome/Firefox/IE

Strange Cinema Plus ads start to appear and you cannot remove them.

Cinema Plus is an ad supported program that displays its own ads on various e-commerce websites that you may visit. Even though not considered malicious, its presence in the system can cause great annoyance and disruption.

How did I get infected with?

Cinema Plus is installed in your system when you choose default installation setting to install infected 3^rd party programs. 3^rd party freeware programs may be infected with malware that will get installed in your system when you choose to install the program using the default settings. Cinema Plus is an extremely disruptive program which displays it own ads every time you visit an e-commerce websites. It will show you various other discounts, offers, promotions or coupons that are available. It will also show you the “hottest deals”. You will be bombarded with pop-ups, pop unders, redirects etc. all the time.

Cinema Plus also installs an add-on toolbar on your browsers which will add to the disruption that it already causes.

Once your system is infected with Cinema-Plus you will show you a bar on the top right corner of your browser every time you visit a site like Expedia, Best Buy, or even Walmart. This box will contain keywords related to your recent searches, ads and links sponsored by advertisers.

How to Remove Cinema-Plus from Chrome, Firefox or IE

The first thing to do is to uninstall Cinema Plus from the Control Panel’s Programs & Features tab. Here you will find all the programs installed in your system. Look for any suspicious looking programs, besides Cinema Plus, and uninstall all these programs. These programs could be potential malware can could be particularly harmful to your system.

• Open Google Chrome
• In the Main Menu, select Tools —> Extensions
• Remove the Cinema Plus Extension by clicking on the little recycle bin
• Reset Google Chrome by Deleting the current user to make sure nothing is left behind

• Open Mozilla Firefox
• Press simultaneously Ctrl+Shift+A
• Disable the Cinema-Plus add on
• Go to Help (1)
• Then Troubleshoot information (2)
• Click on Reset Firefox (3)

• Open Internet Explorer
• On the Upper Right Corner Click on the Gear Icon (1)
• Go to Toolbars and Extensions and disable the Cinema-Plus browser helper object.
• Click on Internet options (2) 
• Select the Advanced tab (3) and click on Reset (4).
• Close IE
