This article can help you to remove Floxif Virus. The step by step removal works for every version of Microsoft Windows.
If your anti-virus app has detected the Floxif Malware, the news is not great. You are dealing with a data-stealing Trojan. Yes, that is right, your personal files are at risk. So is your security. The hackers behind Floxif Malware corrupted the official free version of the popular PC optimization app CCleaner. And thus, they reached about 2 million PC users around the world. Luckily, Floxif Malware affects only 32-bit systems. Since most PCs run 62-bit systems, the impact was somewhat limited. The presence of Floxif virus on your computer, however, remains a huge problem. This piece of software is a virus, after all. It is designed to spy on its victims. It knows what kind of programs you have installed on your machine, your usernames, what kind of processes are running on your PC, IP and MAC addresses, etc. The virus sends the collected data to a remote server. Unfortunately, this remote server (aka the hackers) can also send data to the malware and thus, reprogram it. Floxif Malware is a breach in your security wall. Hackers can use it to steal personally identifiable information and personal files. They can also transfer viruses via this parasite. Floxif should be removed as soon as possible. You can try to delete the parasite manually. Just keep in mind that you are dealing with a complicated infection. You will need to modify your System Registry. If you delete a wrong entry, you may cause the Blue Screen of Death. Therefore, we recommend you to use an automated solution. Download a trustworthy anti-virus program and run a full system scan.
How did I get infected with?
Floxif Malware is distributed via the latest update of CCleaner. Yet, it may as well infect other programs. Such viruses usually travel via torrents, spam email attachments, freeware bundling, and malvertising. Only your caution in combination with powerful anti-virus software can keep your machine clean. Always keep your anti-virus app up to date. Download software and updates from reliable sources only. When you start the installation of any program, opt for the Advanced option in the Setup Wizard. Only under the Advanced Installation will you be able to see whether additional apps are about to be installed. If such is the case, examine the list of extras carefully. Read the Terms and Conditions/EULA. You can also research the apps online. Install only the tools you trust. Or, don’t install them at all. You can deselect all extras and still install the program you originally planned to set up. Floxif Malware is just one of many viruses which roam the Internet. You can never know where an infection might strike from. Always keep your guard up! And just to be safe, back up your system regularly.
Why is this dangerous?
Floxif Malware is a menace that should not be tolerated. It penetrates your computer and wreaks havoc on it. The virus is highly invasive. Once on board, it will modify your System Registry. The virus may cause some programs of yours to stop working (like your anti-virus app, for example) or, it may install new apps. Floxif Malware is in control of your PC. And the consequences may be devastating. If this parasite steals sensitive information about you, the hackers can use it to blackmail you. Speaking of which. Blackmailing is quite a possible scenario. The Floxif virus may infect your PC with ransomware. And that’s it. You will lose your precious files. Don’t wait to see what will happen with your computer. Act promptly. Track Floxif down and remove it on the spot. The sooner, the better!
