How did I get infected with?
Adware programs are deceptive. They use slyness and subtlety, and sneak into your system undetected. That’s right. Undetected. To manage that, they turn to an array of tricks. More often than not, they use freeware. That’s because, it offers, perhaps, the easiest way into your system. How come? Well, most users are pretty careless during freeware installs. Instead of taking their time, and doing due diligence, they rush. They skip reading terms and conditions, and agree to everything in blind faith. They leave their fate to chance, and hope for the best. That’s a horrendous strategy, with horrible consequences. Don’t make it! If you wish to keep an infection-free PC, always choose caution over carelessness. Other common methods of invasion, include the following. Hiding behind corrupted links, sites, or torrents. Posing as bogus system or program updates. And, of course, the use of spam email attachments as a way in. Don’t give into gullibility, haste, and distraction. Always take the time to be vigilant. Even a little extra attention goes a long way.
Why is this dangerous?
The adware, behind “Ads by TS,” spies on you. It follows instructions to do so once it invades. So, its espionage begins, following its admission into your system. The tool starts to keep track of your online activities. And, it records them. It keeps a record of everything you do, while browsing. That includes pages you visit, links you click, passwords, logins. Not to mention, credit card and bank account data. The adware gets a hold of all that. And, when it deems it has collected enough details, proceeds to send what it stole. It exposes it to the cyber criminals, behind it. Unknown individuals with malicious agendas. Not people, you can trust with your sensitive information. Don’t allow the infection to fulfill its thieving agenda. Do your best to locate its exact hiding place. Then, once you do, remove it! The faster it leaves your system, the better.
