The Campaign Notifier adware has no security mechanism. It is paid when you click on its ads and when you visit a sponsored web page. Neither your comfort nor security is part of the deal. Anyone willing to pay can use the parasite as an advertising platform. Numerous crooks do. They use the collected data to prepare customized marking campaigns. They show you what you want to see, but when you click, bad things happen. With the adware on board, you are more likely to end up on bogus websites than on legitimate ones.
