Destyy.com is an obnoxious hijacker that messes with your browser settings. As soon as you encounter its presence on board, you have to take measures. No type of cyber infection is to be underestimated so make no mistake. Get rid of the parasite and regain control over your hijacked browsers. Destyy.com is presented as a harmless search engine. Hackers are rarely honest when it comes to the malware they develop, though. Same thing goes for the deceptive Destyy.com virus. This program is supposed to provide accurate search results when in reality it provides sponsored ones. Know that any sponsored web link is extremely unreliable. Such tricky search results get generates to help crooks gain profit. Hence, you’re stuck with this parasite so crooks could make money. They take full advantage of your browsing experience and use Destyy.com to take over your browsers. Immediately after the parasite gets installed, your default settings get altered. None of the shenanigans that follow has anything to do with your permission. Note that browser hijackers work in silence. Neither your consent nor authorization is in any way involved in the parasite’s numerous modifications. And that’s just the beginning. Destyy.com replaces your default search engine and homepage with its own domain. Its malicious, highly questionable domain. You are now forced to be using the hijacker when surfing the Internet. The problem is, Destyy.com doesn’t generate the results you need. It only displays sponsored, tailored links which allow hackers to make money. As mentioned, cyber criminals need you to click their links. That’s why the sponsored search results generated by this program appear to be harmless. They aren’t, though. Keep in mind that Destyy.com wasn’t created to be beneficial for you. In fact, that is the very last thing hackers are interested in. Crooks are solely focused on gaining profit and generating fake web links. Does that give you a solid reason to avoid these deceptive search results? It definitely should. Stay away from anything generated by the infection and put your safety first. Some of the links displayed by Destyy.com may turn out to be fake and corrupted. Clicking them open could compromise your security further so don’t be naive. Destyy.com might also generate some random, unsafe commercials and various product ads. Those must be avoided too.
How did I get infected with?
The parasite didn’t wait for you to download it. How can we tell? Because hijackers don’t work that way. Instead of asking you to install them, these parasites use stealth. Destyy.com probably got downloaded without you even knowing it. Apart from being unfair, this method is also very dangerous. Hijackers are relatively easy to tackle. However, the Web is full of some much more problematic types of infections. Take Trojan horses and ransomware, for instance. Unless you watch out for malware in advance, you could fall victim to a virus once again. To prevent that, be careful what you give green light to. The most commonly used tactic is called freeware or shareware bundling. Opt for the Custom option in the Setup Wizard to be sure there are no additional programs in the bundle. Deselect the potential “bonuses” you may spot and be cautious. Also, take your time to go through the Terms and Conditions or EULA (End User License Agreement). Be attentive online so you won’t have to tackle infections afterwards.
Why is this dangerous?
The Destyy.com virus causes your browsers to redirect you. It also leads to a poor PC performance and bombards you with sponsored web links. As mentioned, the search results and pop-up ads Destyy.com may generate are all dubious. Avoid them and don’t allow hackers to harass you. Remember, your machine is infected so crooks could gain profit at your expense. Clicking the links Destyy.com generates both exposes you to malware and turns you into hackers’ sponsor. This pest also collects your browsing-related information. Therefore, your private life online isn’t private anymore as hackers are spying on it. Crooks have plenty of monetizing platforms and you can be positive they will manage to sell your data. If you’re unlucky, your details could be sent into the wrong hands.
