How did I get infected with?

Most hijackers don’t bother to seek the victim’s permission. Chances are, BLeengo Search didn’t either. The virus probably used some secretive tactic to get installed. You didn’t agree to download an infection, did you? One notoriously famous technique involves freeware or shareware bundles. In case you often download bundled programs, be careful. Keep in mind there might be intruders hiding among the software you wanted to install. To prevent virus infiltration, opt for the Custom or Advanced option in the Setup Wizard. That is more time-consuming than clicking “I accept”. Having to uninstall malware is a hassle, though. Save yourself the headache and watch out for unwanted intruders. The moment you spot some pesky additional bonus in the bundle, you have to deselect it. Take your time during the installation and always keep an eye out for infections. You should also check out the Terms and Conditions or EULA of what you download. In addition, be careful what emails and messages you agree to click open. You might receive something corrupted and immensely dangerous in your inbox. Unless you delete the problematic email or message, you might eventually open it and let a virus loose.
