There are plenty of safe search engines out there. Wyyo.com isn’t one of them. This is a classic member of the nasty browser hijacker family. In other words, it’s a dangerous infection that causes you damage. In addition, it lies to your face and promises bogus functionalities. If you come across Wyyo.com on your machine, it is time to take action. Do not underestimate the hijacker’s malicious potential and do not ignore this program. After all, we’re talking about a virus. It was developed to serve hackers’ purposes only, not to be beneficial for you. That means you’ll be practically compromising both your safety and privacy by keeping it. What is the solution? Don’t keep the hijacker. Uninstall it as soon as possible. You definitely won’t regret it. Wyyo.com messes with your default browser settings. In addition, these modifications happen completely behind your back. Infections don’t really tend to take the victim’s opinion into consideration. Wyyo.com doesn’t do that either. It adds an extension to your browsers without any authorization. In addition, your search engine and homepage get altered too. The virus replaces them with its own highly questionable domain. You see, this way the parasite takes control over your browsers. You are now unable to surf the Web without having to deal with the hijacker. That’s what hackers are waiting for. Wyyo.com is supposed to provide you accurate, harmless web links. However, what it actually delivers are sponsored and unreliable links. Stay away from all of them. This program generates web traffic to some particular pages. Without a doubt, there are dangerous links currently on your PC screen. You can’t tell which is safe and which isn’t, though. The only way to know for sure is by clicking. Does that seem like a risk worth taking? It is not. You only need one click on the wrong link to download more infections so keep that in mind. None of the search results Wyyo.com displays is to be trusted. The virus also injects your browsers with equally unreliable pop-ups. You may stumble across commercials, product deals and offers, discounts, coupons. These advertisements may seem to be very attractive. However, they are misleading and could turn out to be corrupted. To prevent further damage, uninstall the Wyyo.com virus before it’s too late. The hijacker will get out of hand eventually unless you take measures.
How did I get infected with?
Nobody compromises their machines on purposes. That leads us to the logical conclusion Wyyo.com relied on your distraction. Just like all programs, infections need to be properly installed before they get activated. Did you agree to download the hijacker? No? The most effective virus infiltration method is freeware bundling. It is both quick and stealthy. Thus, it allows parasites to get downloaded in silence. Needless to say, this is very dangerous. When installing bundled programs, always opt for the advanced or custom option. By doing so, you will successfully watch out for malware. If you do spot some pesky intruder, deselect it ASAP. That’s all it takes to protect your security. Otherwise, you will have to deal with the virus later on. Make the wiser choice and be cautious online. It is your responsibility and yours only to prevent virus installation. Check out the Terms and Conditions of what you download too. Same thing goes for the EULA (End User License Agreement). Instead of skipping installation steps, pay attention. You may accidentally accept some pesky term or condition if you don’t watch out for malware. Do not overlook the many infiltration techniques parasites apply.
Why is this dangerous?
Your browsing experience isn’t up to you anymore. It’s up to hackers. And it goes without saying that crooks don’t have to care for your safety. That is why your PC screen is covered with suspicious, fake, corrupted web links. To get rid of them, you must get rid of the hijacker. Wyyo.com installs its browser extension and exposes you to threats. It also redirects you to unknown websites that may have nothing to do with your search queries. As mentioned, your everyday browsing activities are simply out of the picture. Hijackers boost web traffic. They do not provide a better browsing experience. Therefore, you must tackle the Wyyo.com virus instead of tolerating it. As if that wasn’t enough, Wyyo.com steals your private details. The virus collects browsing history and IP addresses and usernames and passwords. In addition, some personally identifiable data could get monitored too. That is how Wyyo.com causes financial scams or even identity theft. To delete it manually, please follow our detailed removal guide down below.
