Can’t Remove WeatherBug ads? This page includes detailed ads by WeatherBug Removal instructions!
Today’s article is all about WeatherBug – a seemingly harmless online application that is supposed to provide you with accurate weather forecasts, fast warnings to rain, lightning alerts, etc. Under that beautiful facade, however, lies a sneaky cyber parasite that has all the potential to effectively disrupt your entire Internet activity. WeatherBug offers no warnings to the flood of ads that this program brings along and you should know that once the parade of commercials begins, your interest in the weather will drastically decrease. Instead, your attention will be focused mainly on the infected computer in front of you and all the other issues WeatherBug caused. Being a typical adware parasite and a PUP (potentially unwanted program) this program has absolutely nothing beneficial to offer you. On the other hand, it will surely try to install more malware behind your back, it will slow down your PC speed considerably and it will make sure you’re seriously irritated, anxious and upset. To sum up, we wouldn’t really say that WeatherBug is something you need in your life.
How did I get infected with?
We already mentioned that WeatherBug is sneaky but what does that mean in practice? It means even though the parasite has quite an impressive-looking website, you most likely didn’t use it to install the virus. Basically the one word that could sum up all adware infections is “deceit” and, unfortunately, WeatherBug is not the great exception of that rule. This program usually comes bundled with the freeware PC users download off of the Internet every day. Could you imagine the endless possibilities in front of this nasty thing? All you need is one careless click and voila, your PC is infected. In order to prevent this, you have to take the initiative and thoroughly check everything that enters your computer. Then double-check it. Unless you choose the custom/advanced option in the Setup Wizard, you never know what exactly infiltrates the PC. It might be WeatherBug, it might be some other tricky adware program or it might be something a lot more harmful. Make sure you’re extra cautious when it comes to freeware, especially if it’s bundled. Hackers will definitely take advantage of every wrong step you take so every single moment of negligence could lead to catastrophic results.
Why are these ads dangerous?
First of all, we find it incredibly unfair that a program advertised as harmless could turn out to be so dangerous. According to WeatherBug’s official website, this thing has numerous privacy awards which is a rather funny statement because according to the Terms of Use that you can find on the very same website, all risks the program could cause you are entirely at your sole risk. Such a disclaimer of warranty is nothing new in the adware world and it comes to show exactly how unreliable and suspicious WeatherBug is. Being ad-supported, this program is created to help its developers generate profit. The minute it gets installed (like we said, probably without your permission), the parasite installs an extension or an add-on to all your browsers. It has no difficulties taking down Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer so once WeatherBug infects you, it cannot remain unnoticed for too long. The parasite then injects your once trusty browsers with pop-ups, pop-unders, various banners, random and unexpected hyperlinks, endless banners, etc. and as it doesn’t discriminate between safe ads and corrupted ones, clicking any of them is quite a gamble. These commercials are extremely annoying and hard to deal it, so knowing that they could easily result in installing malware is just one more reason to remove WeatherBug for good. In addition to all, you should also be aware that the parasite successfully spies on you and collects your entire browsing-related information including search queries, browsing history, pages visited, passwords and usernames. You could delete the parasite automatically but if you decide to do so manually, please follow the removal guide we’ve provided down below.
