And, the longer you don’t take action to deal with the problem, and this is indeed a grave problem, the worse your predicament will get. That’s how such cyber threats operate. The more time they’re allowed to spend on your PC, the more they increase their hazardous influence, thus, the more issues you’ll be forced to bear. How did I get infected with?

W97m/DOWNLOADER.aiw tends to make its way into your system via free software from file-sharing domains. If you’re not careful enough to spot it attempting to slither in, it sneaks in undetected. When you download freeware, be extremely cautious as such software is usually bundled with various malicious tools. If you’re not attentive enough, they slip by you unnoticed, settle in your PC, and then proceed to corrupt it. And, since that’s hardly something you want to experience, be more vigilant and thorough. Always do your due diligence and never give into naivety and haste. Distraction will not bring you any positives. So, do yourself a favor and don’t be careless. Infections prey on carelessness. And, don’t think Trojans like W97m/DOWNLOADER.aiw only turn to freeware to invade your computer. Oh, no. They can also infiltrate your PC via corrupted links or sites or by hiding behind spam email attachments. Remember, even a little extra attention today can save you a ton of troubles and headaches tomorrow.

Why is this dangerous?

Trojans are designed to mess up your computer and corrupt your system. They steal your private information and send it to third parties with agendas. They allow unknown individuals into your system and give them free reign. They are free to install as many malicious programs as they wish – adware, ransomware, hijackers, etc. You’re fair game. You’re a victim. Don’t permit a nasty cyber infection, like W97m/DOWNLOADER.aiw to put you at such risk. Don’t give it such power over your system and, by extension, your life. It’s easy enough to dismiss the threat and underestimate it. Don’t make that mistake. It will start small, with lesser issues, like slower computer performance and frequent system crashes. But as time progresses, your situation will gradually worsen. Think of it as a ripple effect. The more the Trojan is allowed on your PC, the further its damages seep through. After the sluggishness will likely come the unwanted malware installs. You can get stuck with adware, which will flood you continuously with pop-up ads every time you browse the web, or with a hijacker, which will incessantly redirect you to unsafe websites, or with something even nastier, like ransomware. You probably think it can’t possibly get any worse than this malware attack, but you’re wrong. It can. W97m/DOWNLOADER.aiw leaves a backdoor open for hackers, who can steal your personal and financial information, and use it as they see fit. Even if you find a way to accept all of the other issues, and live with them, do NOT accept this! Ignoring the severe security issue the Trojan poses will have irrevocable consequences, and not the good kind. W97m/DOWNLOADER.aiw can offer you no assistance, no help, no positives, only negatives –  troubles, headaches, conundrums. Get rid of it at the first opportune moment. It’s for the best.
