Trojan: Win32/Kovter just keeps popping up and you cannot remove it?
Trojan: Win32/Kovter is a brand new Trojan virus, roaming the web, and claiming casualties. It earns the title ‘new’ as it’s based on a more advanced rootkit technique, which renders it ‘invisible’ to many antivirus programs. While most of the recognizable ones, which web users turn to for assistance in a time of crisis (like getting stuck with a Trojan) can detect it, they fall short of deleting it altogether. The list of such AV tools includes Avast, Kaspersky, Norton, and Microsoft Security Essential. These can only point to the problem, but cannot take care of it for you. That’s a rather unpleasant thought – that even the seemingly best AV programs out there, cannot make the problem go away, but can merely acknowledge its existence. Trojan: Win32/Kovter is designed to wreak havoc on your PC. It’s programmed to weaken your system’s defenses, flood it with unwanted and malicious cyber threats, and make a mess of everything. You’ll be bombarded with an entire myriad of issues for as long as the nasty infection is allowed to remain on your computer. The worst one of which will certainly be the security risk it places upon you. The Trojan lurks in the background, and spies on your every move. It closely monitors your browsing, and thoroughly catalogs your online activities. And, once it deems it has gathered a sufficient amount of data, hands it over to the people behind it – unknown individuals with questionable intentions. Are you prepared to give them access to your personal and financial information? It’s hardly a good idea to allow strangers into your private life and, odds are, it won’t end well. Don’t take chances with such a severe threat! Trojan: Win32/Kovter is not a threat to be trifled with! It’s dangerous and damaging, and you should remove it from your system the first opportunity you get. Otherwise, you’ll regret it.
How did I get infected with?
Trojan: Win32/Kovter didn’t just pop up on you PC one day. Trojans can’t do that. In fact, they cannot enter unless invited. In other words, you have to permit them in explicitly, and they’re required to ask you if you do. You are responsible for your current predicament as you agreed to allow the infection on your computer. However, don’t be too hard on yourself. The tool didn’t openly ask for approval on its installment. It’s a master in the arts of deceit and usually manages to dupe you into giving it the green light by turning to the old but gold means of infiltration. The Trojan preys on your carelessness. It’s a crucial ingredient in its invasive plan. Its antics include the usuals methods – hiding behind freeware, corrupted links or sites, or spam email attachments, or pretending to be a bogus update. Plus, it can also slither in via external media – pen drives, memory card, USB hard disks, and every other similar device with storage memory. If you wish to avoid falling victim to the sneaky and crafty cyber threat and being forced to deal with the consequences of having a Trojan on your PC, be more careful! Don’t rush and don’t throw caution the wind! Naivety and carelessness are not your friends! Always be thorough and do your due diligence, and remember that even a little extra attention goes a long way.
Why is this dangerous?
Once Trojan: Win32/Kovter gains access to your system, it wastes no time, and proceeds to corrupt it. It quietly lurks in the background, and endlessly throws troubles your way. The tool bombards you with issues all day, every day, for as long as you let it stay. That’s why experts advise towards its immediate deletion. The more you delay, the worse your situation will get. For example, if the Trojan is to remain, brace yourself for frequent system crashes, computer freezes, and your computer slowing down to a crawl. These unpleasantries will be caused by the fact that, once installed, the Trojan takes up a lot of memory space and system resources. Another ‘perk,’ which you’ll notice after the nasty tool settles, include getting redirected to unreliable, sponsored links while searching the web. But don’t think the Trojan will merely test the limits of your patience. Oh, no. These are just the minor annoyances. You’ll be faced with much bigger ones if you don’t take action against the threat ASAP. For one, if the infection feels like it, it can install as many malicious application as it chooses. Your computer will be a sitting duck for countless cyber threats, from adware and hijackers to ransomware. Add to that the security issue, and it should be pretty evident what you must do – remove the Trojan from your system immediately!
