How to Remove T.CN Virus (Chrome, Firefox, IE)

Can’t Remove T.CN ads? This page includes detailed ads by T.CN Removal instructions!

Are you bombarded with the T.CN pop-ups when surfing the Web? Unfortunately, that is a sign your computer has fallen victim to some adware-type infection. Adware and PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) are considered to be the least harmful types of viruses. That doesn’t mean you could afford to overlook the threat, though. There is no such thing as a harmless cyber infection so make no mistake with this particular parasite. Instead, locate the sneaky intruder and get rid of it on the spot. You have nothing to lose by deleting a virus. On the other hand, you have quite a lot to gain. As soon as the infection lands on board, it starts exposing you to further threats. In other words, it brings along sponsored, unreliable pop-up ads. You’ve noticed the T.CN commercials already, haven’t you? Ignoring those would be pretty much impossible because the ads are everywhere. They cover all websites you visit, they are stubborn and invasive. Apart from the fact you can’t surf the Web at peace anymore, you’re also no longer in charge of your browsers. The adware modifies their default settings without bothering to seek permission. At the end of the day, that is a nasty creation of cyber crooks. Its very last purpose was to help you browse the Web or to be beneficial for you overall. Instead, the parasite helps its developers use the pay-per-click mechanism to gain profit. The technique hackers apply is actually very simple. Their sneaky parasite infects your computer behind your back and messes with your browsers. Thanks to its shenanigans, you’ll notice several unauthorized changes in their settings. For instance, a brand new extension that was added by the adware. You may spot some additional toolbars and other modifications. It goes without saying that having your favorite browser settings altered by a virus puts you in danger. Your very own browsers now generate sponsored commercials and various unsafe links. The T.CN pop-ups come in all shapes and colors imaginable. That includes coupons, discounts, product deals, price comparisons, “best prices”, etc. Do the advertisements seem trustworthy? Even if they do, you should know better than to click any of them open. Sponsored links often redirect you straight to malicious websites. That allows you to download more infections and make the situation worse. To prevent further damage, tackle the adware-type nuisance ASAP.

How did I get infected with?

There are many equally stealthy infiltration techniques. Hence, it’s almost impossible to determine the exact method this pest used. Hackers do have a couple of favorite methods so, chances are, some of the most popular tactics let the adware get installed. Freeware/shareware bundling is a particularly effective way for infections to travel the Web. If you’re someone who often downloads bundled programs, keep in mind this is also a virus distribution method. Hackers often attach all sorts of parasites to a single software bundle. Unless you pay attention, you could install some additional malicious “bonuses”. How do you prevent that? Opt for the Custom or Advanced option in the Setup Wizard. Watch out for some bonus infections you may spot hiding in the deceptively safe bundle. Deselect the potential intruders before it’s too late and save yourself the headache. Fighting an infection is indeed a greater hassle than preventing malware infiltration. Another plausible explanation of the parasite’s presence involves spam emails. Stay away from random email-attachments as well as messages. Those might turn out to be full of malware and, ultimately, create trouble.

Why is this dangerous?

The infection floods your PC screen with specific, tailored web links. Hackers’ main concern is to trick you into clicking the T.CN pop-ups open. If you do, you help them gain revenue. Simple as that. Unfortunately, clicking a corrupted ad could lead you to harmful pages or involve you in a scam. There are many corrupted and utterly fake commercials among the ads generated by the virus. As you could imagine, you won’t be able to tell which is safe and which one isn’t until you click. We’d recommend that you take no chances when it comes to your security; don’t be gullible. Avoid clicking any of the misleading, tricky advertisements you might come across. Remember, as long as your computer is infected, you’re one click away from more cyber viruses. You also get redirected and your browsing-related details get monitored.
