Remove SmartPurple Ads from Chrome/Firefox/IE

Can’t Remove SmartPurple ads? This page includes detailed ads by SmartPurple Removal instructions!

SmartPurple is a potentially unwanted adware program. It’s ad-supported, which should clear up the reason behind its incessant pop-ups’ bombardment that will plague your browsing daily. Oh, yes. Each and every time you attempt to go online, you’ll be interrupted by a full-on flood of ads. And, what’s worse, this continuous disruption won’t just be infuriating, it will also be harmful. Due to the pop-ups’ incessant appearance, you’ll start to experience frequent system crashes, and your computer’s performance will slow down to a crawl. As if that’s not “fun” enough, you’ll also be faced with a severe malware risk. That’s because the program’s pop-ups are immensely unreliable. They’re bundled with all kinds of malevolent tools, and if you click on even a single one, by choice or accident, you’ll regret it instantly. A single click “unlocks” the malware and allows it to wreak havoc on your system, because by pressing the pop-up, you unwillingly give your permission to the tool’s installation. So, ignore the ads as best as you can, and don’t click on them! Or, better yet, do yourself a favor and remove the hazardous PUP from your system entirely. That way you’ll also avoid dealing with the severe security issue SmartPurple places upon you. You’ll spare yourself a ton of headaches and troubles if you just delete the application the very first chance you get.

How did I get infected with?

SmartPurple is a master when it comes to finding a way into your system. The tool is so resourceful that it not only manages to gain access but also does so while staying hidden from your gaze. That may sound baffling, considering that it’s requited to ask for your approval before its install. Well, it’s true nonetheless. The program uses deception and subtlety to sneak in undetected. It gets your permission for its installation by resorting to the old but gold means of infiltration. More often than not, it turns to freeware as it provides possibly the easiest entry point. That’s because users tend to pay little to no attention during its install and rush the whole process. They don’t read the terms and conditions but, instead, agree to all of them in haste, which they quickly learn was a horrendous idea. Unfortunately, by the time they do, the damage is already done. Remember to be extra cautious when installing freeware as it’s often bundled with malware. Don’t give into naivety and distraction, and don’t rush. After all, a little extra attention can save you a lot of troubles.

Why are these ads dangerous?

As was already mentioned, SmartPurple is an ad-supported application, which is why it throws so many pop-ups your way. If the tool is to proceed with its operations, it has to generate pay-per-click revenue for the third parties behind it. If it fails, it ceases to exist. It’s as simple as that. And, since,  SmartPurple does indeed want to continue its existence, it does everything it can to increase its chances of fooling you into clicking on its pop-ups. To improve its likelihood of success, the program makes sure to learn what you like and dislike, so it only shows you what you like. How? Well, it’s quite straightforward. It studies you. As soon as it slithers into your computer, it starts to take note of your online activities so as to better understand what your preferences include. Once it’s able to determine what appeals to you, it selects the appropriate ads, and then the bombardment begins. No matter how enticing the ads seem, do NOT click on them! Unfortunately, the application does more than merely monitor your browsing. It also keeps a thorough record of every move you make, and as soon as it deems it has collected enough data from you, it sends it to the unknown individuals behind it. Are you ready to hand your private life to strangers? Are you willing to jeopardize your personal and financial information for a worthless, damaging program like SmartPurple? Think long and hard before you answer?
