How did I get infected with?

Most adware infections travel the Web bundled. That gives you a solid ground to stay away from unverified program bundles. Only download legitimate software, especially when it’s bundled. Another rule of thumb is to take your time during the installation process. Opting for the Custom or Advanced option could prevent malware infiltration. This simple step allows you to spot any potential intruder so you could deselect it. Otherwise, your machine gets infected. Note that adware is one of the least destructive kinds of infections you could have downloaded. The Internet is full of hijackers, Trojan horses and ransomware. If you’re careless enough, you may give green light to various types of viruses. You’re the one who will have to uninstall the parasites later on, though. Do yourself a favor and keep your computer system virus-free. You won’t regret it. Another popular distribution method involves email-attachments or emails. Those often hide parasites so you should be careful what you click open. Unless you personally know the sender, delete all emails and messages that seem unreliable. Last but not least, watch out for fake torrents and bogus program updates.
