In fact, you were the one who let it into your system, although you didn’t realize it at the time. It’s a full-on master of finesse and trickery. Tools like it are required to gain your permission before entering your system. And, they’ve turned fooling you into a complete art form. The PUP dupes you into approving it in by preying on your carelessness. It sneaks in undetected and lays low until it decides it’s time to reveal its presence to you. More often than not, it invades your PC by hitching a ride with freeware as it provides possibly the easiest access point. That’s because, for reasons unknown, users tend to throw all caution to the wind when going through its install. They rush the entire process and don’t even read the terms and conditions. Instead, they rely on luck and just blindly agree to everything. That’s a colossal mistake. One, which almost always results in getting stuck with adware like Bright Light. Don’t make it! Don’t become just another victim! Be more careful, don’t give into gullibility and haste. Remember, even a little extra attention can save you an abundance of issues, headaches, and grievances.

Why are these ads dangerous?

There’s a reason Bright Light make you endure a never-ending bombardment of pop-up advertisements. And, it’s survival. If the tool is to proceed with its existence, it’s bound to generate web traffic and pay-per-click revenue for the unknown third parties that support it. If it fails to do so, they just take it down, and it falls into oblivion. So, it should come as no surprise that the application does everything in its power to avoid the fate of extinction. And, since each time you click o an ad, you produce profits for these individuals, the PUP makes sure to display only ‘appropriate’ ads. In other words, it only shows you advertisements, which have the best chance of enticing you enough to press them. Do you wish to know how it makes the distinction between appropriate and inappropriate pop-ups? From the second it enters your system, the tool spies on you. As was already mentioned, it attempts to steal your private details and then send them to the people behind them. But there’s more to it than that. The application goes through this entire process, so it can also get a better sense of you, to get to know you better. It monitors your browsing activities, so it can learn what interests you, what you like and dislike. When it understands what your unique preferences include, it makes the selection and begins the bombardment. So, don’t think you see random ads. It’s important to remember NOT to press even a single pop-up! Clicking on the advertisements will only result in more troubles, so ignore them no matter how appealing they seem. Or better yet, do yourself a favor, and delete the PUP. That’s the best course of action you can take.
