Can’t Remove Bangtony? This page includes detailed Bangtony Removal instructions!
Categorized as a PUP (potentially unwanted program), Bangtony is quite a pest. For one thing, it’s one of the many cyber infections out there. And, we have never encountered a harmless PC virus. Have you? Probably not. The Bangtony parasite takes over your favorite browsers and turns your online experience upside down. Before you even know it, the PUP might cause you serious harm. That is why you have to act quickly and tackle the parasite before things get ugly. Bangtony usually gets activated in silence. After all, not many people would agree to download a dangerous, tricky and deceptive virus. Once the installation is complete, the parasite starts making modifications. Your browsers will receive a brand new plugin or an extension. The problem is, your permission for these changes is irrelevant. Now that your computer is infected, your own browsing experience is no longer up to you. It’s up to hackers. Bangtony messes with your default browser settings in order to force pop-ups on you. Sponsored, immensely unreliable pop-ups. Bear in mind that all commercials you now see are potentially harmful. Some of them might be leading you to fake deals. Eventually, you’d waste money trying to purchase a non-existent product. Another possibility is that the ads could lead you directly to malicious websites. This way, you might install more parasites and worsen your already bad situation. Restrain yourself from clicking any of these web links unless you’re willing to take a huge risk. As you can see, though, it’s an unwarranted risk. The PUP injects your browsers with its annoying, misleading, unsafe pop-up ads. We’re talking about a never-ending parade of commercials in all shapes and colors imaginable. What these share is the fact you can’t trust them. Avoid these seemingly attractive advertisements and get rid of the virus. Bangtony also redirects you to unknown, random pages. Once again, that happens without your authorization. It goes without saying that finding what you search for online becomes an impossible task. In addition, this program causes your overwhelmed browsers to freeze and crash. Using the machine in general is no longer fun. The infection might even steal some private information thus causing you privacy issues. Don’t tolerate such a nasty intruder. Uninstall it on the spot.
How did I get infected with Bangtony?
The virus didn’t need you to install it on purpose. There are plenty of stealthy infiltration techniques online. It’s very likely that Bangtony was bundled with some safe programs. Do you often download freeware/shareware bundles off of the Internet? Then you should always keep in mind that the Web is filled with parasites. If you rush the installation, you might accidentally download malware. To say the least, deleting a virus is more time-consuming than prevention is. Save yourself the trouble and watch out for potential threats. Opting for the Custom option in the Setup Wizard allows you to check out all programs attached to the bundle. If you spot some “bonus” program, all you have to do is deselect it. However, that means you firstly need to be paying attention. Do not let hackers fool you twice. Take your time beforehand so you don’t end up stuck with a vicious infection. Always check out the Terms and Conditions or EULA as well. Skipping installation steps may turn out to be a mistake so be cautious. Another famous infiltration method involves spam messages and spam email-attachments. Delete anything you don’t trust and put your security first.
Why is Bangtony dangerous?
Bangtony will keep on harassing you till you take measures. Thus, you have to take measures as soon as possible. Don’t be gullible to keep the infection as this program isn’t harmless. As we mentioned already, the virus modifies your browser settings. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer now serve hackers’ purposes. Crooks use the pay-per-click mechanism to gain effortless profit online at your expense. The endless pile of commercials and ads covers every single website you visit. In other words, you’re constantly bombarded with useless web links. Bangtony might also begin to generate some bogus program updates. Stay away from those too. Last but certainly not least, this virus jeopardizes your privacy. It shamelessly collects your sensitive data such as browsing history, search queries, usernames and passwords. If you’re unfortunate enough, some personally identifiable data might get stolen as well. To delete the PUP manually, please follow our detailed removal guide down below.
