How did I get infected with?
MacWizz appears to pop up out of the blue, but that’s not the case. In reality, you’re the one who installs it. Oh, yes. You may not remember doing it, but you did. That’s because adware applications are sneaky. They require your permission to enter, but they don’t have to ask for it openly. So, they don’t. Through deception and trickery, they get it out of you. And, you don’t even know it. Not until the ads kick in. As for the ‘how,’ that’s simple. You aid it in its attempts, and make it easier for it to slither in. If you throw caution to the wind when installing a tool or an update, odds are, you’ll get stuck with an infection. If you rush, or give into gullibility, it’s much easier for the threat to slip by you. So, don’t go that route. Instead of being careless, be extra thorough. Infections prey on carelessness. Don’t grant it. The most common methods of infiltration include freeware and spam email attachments. Also, bogus updates, like Java or Adobe Flash Player. Always do your due diligence, and you just might prevent tools like MacWizz from sneaking in. Choose caution over carelessness.
Why is this dangerous?
The MacWizz tool bombards you with annoyances. The first indication of its presence comes in the form of ads. Lots and lots of them. But they don’t come your way just as a frustrating interference. They do, indeed, have a purpose. And, that purpose is to generate revenue for third parties. All the pop-ups the tool throws at you are aimed at making profits for strangers. Every time, you click on one, you make money for malicious people with agendas. That’s why the advertisements you see aren’t random. The program selects them based on your online activities. It monitors your browsing, so that it learns what interests you. After it gets an understanding of your preferences, it begins. The tool bombards you with ‘appropriate’ ads. The pop-ups were picked to entice you into pressing them. No matter how appealing they seem, do NOT press a single one! Every time you do, you get into bigger trouble. Why? Well, the ads are bundled with malware. They conceal countless threats. And, a click equals your consent on their installment. So, unless you wish to flood your system with more unwanted malware, be wary! Click nothing MacWizz displays! It’s an untrustworthy program, whose presence on your PC, is a whirlwind of troubles. You suffer an incessant stream of pop-up ads and redirects each time you go online. Your system starts to crash more often. Your computer slows down to a crawl. You face a malware threat.
