Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, there is no immune program. The PUP corrupts them and takes over your browsing experience. This parasite follows instructions to flood you with various advertisements. It injects adverts on every website you load. But don’t imagine an ad or two. The more ads you see, the bigger the chance you click, and the PUP gets paid when you click. Thus, it covers your screen with banner, pop-up, and in-text advertisements. If you, however, manage to resist the urge to click, the parasite changes its strategy. It starts browser redirection. The SharePal.exe parasite loads sponsored websites in new tabs and windows. Do not put up with this situation. The parasite might seem like a minor annoyance now, but that will change. How did I get infected with SharePal.exe?
The SharePal.exe PUP is not an ingenious parasite. It is a simple application. And just like any other app, it has certain limitations. The parasite needs your, the user’s, approval to get installed. No permission, no admission! As you can imagine, though, there is a catch. The PUP uses trickery to steal your approval. It asks in the sneakiest way possible. If you don’t pay attention to the fine print, you might overlook it, and approve its installation. Unfortunately, that’s not a bad joke. You were tricked. The parasite lured you into installing it unintentionally. You either clicked on a corrupted link, downloaded a fake update or installed a bundle. Learn your lesson. Do not let other parasites trick you ever again. Always take the time to do your due diligence. When available, use the advanced/custom setup option. Most of the free apps we download off the web come bundled with bonus programs. The extras, however, are often parasites like the SharePal.exe PUP. You can prevent the extras form installing only under the advanced setup wizard. Make sure you know what you are installing on your computer. Don’t skip the terms and conditions. If you cannot spare enough time to read the whole document, scan it with an online EULA analyzer. Abort the installation if you detect anything suspicious!
