Can’t Remove AdSkip ads? This page includes detailed ads by AdSkip Removal instructions!
To begin with, AdSkip (also known as ADSkip) is a dubious application. According to its official website, this thing should “block annoying ads and domains known to spread malware”. According to our research team, though, this thing is a virus. Classified as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP), AdSkip is light years away from being harmless. All it does is lie to your face on a daily basis while serving hackers’ malicious purposes behind your back. Trust us when we say, you will be better off without this pest on board. That means the best advice we could possibly give you is to uninstall the parasite on the spot. Why would you keep such a problematic virus on your PC system when you’re perfectly aware how dangerous this is? Don’t neglect your own safety. Do the right thing and get rid of the intruder as soon as possible. AdSkip’s trickery begins immediately after installation. For example, by adding a browser extension, this pest injects all your browsers with pop-up ads. Get yourself emotionally prepared for a never-ending pile of various commercials in various shapes. AdSkip’s advertisements include misleading pop-ups, misleading pop-unders, useless banners, deceptive interstitial ads, pesky video ads, etc. This complete mess of commercials will greet you on every single website you visit. As you could imagine, the AdSkip ads are very intrusive, annoying and difficult to remove. They are also dangerous. One important piece of information about AdSkip is that it comes for free. Logically, its developers need to find another monetizing technique in order to gain profit. That’s where the ads come in handy. AdSkip’s creators make money out of displaying sponsored commercials which explains why you can’t get rid of the irritating AdSkip pop-ups at the moment. Unfortunately, when money is involved, hackers become very stubborn. The only way to put an end to this parade of pop-ups is by deleting the virus that brought them to you in the first place. Furthermore, keep in mind some of these commercials are corrupted. AdSkip doesn’t discriminate between safe and unsafe advertisements so it generates both kinds. The problem is, you might click open some seemingly harmless and yet very dangerous pop-up ad. Do not let cyber criminals cause you damage; get rid of their program instead. AdSkip is also known to be stealing browsing-related information such as browsing history, search queries, passwords and usernames, email addresses, etc. Your private data gets sent straight into the greedy hands of hackers. It goes without saying this exposes you to numerous privacy issues including financial scams and identity theft. You see, there’s no reason to hesitate. Uninstall AdSkip ASAP.
How did I get infected with?
You could have installed AdSkip from its official website. However, you probably didn’t. A much more likely scenario is that the parasite was bundled with other programs and you downloaded it by accident. This is how freeware/shareware bundling works – a virus gets attached to a bunch of safe programs as some kind of a bonus. The PC user then rushes the installation thus remaining oblivious to the fact a parasite gets installed as well. That is it. Bundled freeware allows hackers to spread all types of malware quickly and effectively online. No wonder it’s one of the most commonly used virus distribution techniques out there. To protect your machine from parasites, always opt for the Advanced or Custom option in the Setup Wizard. This will allow you to be in control of the entire installation process so no potential intruder could sneak in. Also, check out the Terms and Conditions or EULA (End User License Agreement) beforehand. Despite being time-consuming, such a thorough check will definitely save you time in the long run.
Why are these ads dangerous?
AdSkip’s sponsored commercials hide numerous dangerous for you. Obviously, they might be leading you to practically any website. Hackers are only interested in the illegitimate profit they gain through the pay-per-click mechanism; your safety is your concern. The parasite installs a browser extension/add-on which is compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. By infecting all three of the most popular browsers out there, AdSkip takes control over your entire browsing experience. As we mentioned, this thing is incredibly tricky and very problematic. In order to prevent further damage, you have to avoid all commercials brought to you by the virus, even though they might appear to be attractive at first sight. Don’t be gullible. Instead of falling victim to hackers’ shenanigans, proceed to delete the parasite. To get rid of AdSkip manually, please follow the comprehensive removal guide you’ll find down below.
