Can’t Remove Weather Widget ads? This page includes detailed ads by Weather Widget Removal instructions!
There are countless weather apps online. And yet, you’ve manage to install a malicious one. Despite all its empty promises about non-existent functionalities, Weather Widget is adware. Also classified as a potentially unwanted program (PUP), this pest is going to turn surfing the Web into a true cyber disaster. Do you have previous experience with adware? No? Then you might want to check out our article before you proceed to remove the virus. Remember, removing it is a must. Weather Widget mainly relies on its harmless facade to trick people into keeping it on board. However, keeping any infection of any kind on your machine is a terrible, terrible idea. The more time Weather Widget manages to spend on your computer, the more dangerous this pest becomes. As mentioned, Weather Widget appears to be rather safe at first glance. Appearances can be deceiving, though. Keep in mind that this program was not developed to provide you accurate weather forecasts. It was only developed to help its greedy creators gain profit online. Adware-type infections go after your browsers and inject them with sponsored pop-ups. Being a classic member of the pesky adware family, Weather Widget follows this very same pattern. That means you’re now stumbling across unwanted pop-up ads on every single website you visit. As you could imagine, browsing the Web is not an easy task when your PC screen is constantly covered with various pop-ups in various shapes, pop-unders, banners, interstitials, etc. Unfortunately, it gets worse. The problem with sponsored commercials is that they are unreliable. Weather Widget generates both harmless and corrupted web links. There’s no telling which is which unless you click but are you willing to take that risk? A compromised web link might lead you to practically any website. Before you know it, you will accidentally infect you already infected PC much further. To prevent such a unhappy scenario, restrain yourself from clicking ANY commercial Weather Widget displays. If you’re seeing a certain seemingly attractive pop-up, you’re only seeing it because hackers want you to. Keeping the parasite on board exposes you to danger but it also makes you crooks’ sponsor. It goes without saying that you shouldn’t help greedy cyber criminals become rich at your expense. Get rid of their problematic infection instead. Weather Widget also spies on your browsing activities and causes your browsers to often crash/freeze. In addition, your PC speed itself will be drastically slowed down so even using the machine in general becomes a hassle. Did you need one reason to uninstall Weather Widget? It gives you plenty.
How did I get infected with?
You can’t recall the moment Weather Widget got installed, can you? That is because adware is sneaky. Most adware-type parasites get spread online in complete silence and Weather Widget is no exception. As we mentioned already, this program doesn’t shine with originality in any department. Therefore, it’s highly likely that Weather Widget applied one particularly popular infiltration technique – software bundling. It’s just as stealthy as it sounds. Have you recently downloaded questionable freeware or shareware bundles off of the Internet? The virus might have invaded your PC alongside the bundled programs there. Avoid unverified websites in the future as the illegitimate programs they offer are usually unreliable. Also, take your time in the process. Choosing the Advanced/Custom option in the Setup Wizard will prevent virus installation because it allows you to keep an eye on all programs you download. Keep in mind that skipping installation steps leaves your machine vulnerable to all kinds of infections. Watch out for malware and don’t allow hackers to cause you harm.
Why are these ads dangerous?
Weather Widget adds a malicious browser extension the minute it lands on your system. Obviously, your permission or consent or authorization of any kind is not required. The parasite’s extension or add-on works just fine with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. That means escaping its shenanigans is impossible. Regardless of which browser you normally use, no matter which website you attempt to visit, get ready for a never-ending parade of commercials. These web links are not only intrusive, stubborn, annoying beyond belief and utterly worthless, but they’re misleading as well. Keep in mind that the pop-ups’ one goal is to generate web traffic, not to be beneficial for you. Avoid clicking anything generated by the virus, including product deals and even software updates. Also, Weather Widget steals your passwords and usernames and email addresses and IP addresses so hackers could sell your sensitive information later on. To prevent privacy issues, take immediate action. If you want to delete Weather Widget manually, please follow the detailed removal guide that you will find down below.
