How did I get infected with?
Flirchi is a tricky tool. How do you imagine it ended up on your computer when you have no memory of approving its installation? Why, it duped you, of course! That’s right. Applications like Flirchi are bound to ask for, and receive, your permission before they install themselves on your system. And, since if they ask you openly, you’re inclined to deny them entry, they’ve come up with an entire myriad of ways to do so covertly. Thus, ensuring their access. That’s why you don’t remember approving them in – because they snuck in right past you. Even though you were looking straight at them, you weren’t seeing them. Does that make sense to you? Well, it better because that’s how they entered your PC. That’s the level of their deception. The most common ways of infiltration, applications like Flirchi usually turn to, include hitching a ride with spam email attachments or freeware, hiding behind corrupted sites or links, or posing as a fake update. Do you see the characteristic all of these methods share? The common denominator is your carelessness. Flirchi, as well as any other adware program, or any cyber infection for that matter, prey on your distraction, naivety, and haste. So, don’t provide them! Don’t rush and don’t throw caution to the wind! That will only bring you more troubles and headaches, and waste way more of your time and energy than you would have spent being more thorough when installing a tool or an update. So, do you get it? Instead of being careless, be extra cautious. And, remember even a few extra moments of attention go a long way, and save you an abundance of issues.
Why are these ads dangerous?
Flirchi tricks you into approving its installation without you even realizing it, and then settles on your computer. But it doesn’t start wreaking havoc right away. First, it spends some time laying low. This time is crucial for the tool’s survival. Do you wish to know why? Well, because it’s time well-spent. During this dormant period, the application observes your browsing habits. It studies you. It does its best to get to know you better, to understand you. Why? Well, it’s rather straightforward. The PUP tries to learn what you like and dislike, what your preferences include so that it can exploit them. Everything is about to get clearer. Flirchi is an ad-supported application, which implies that if it were to proceed with its operations, it’s bound to generate web traffic and pay-per-click revenue. If it fails to produce profits for the people that published it, they take it down. To avoid the fate of oblivion, the tool turns to its means of success – the pop-up ads. Every time you try to go online, it disrupts your experience with an entire myriad of advertisements. Each one of these ads aims to entice you enough to press it. Don’t do that. It would be a colossal mistake. Clicks lead to you unknowingly agreeing to install more unwanted malware, which will, unsurprisingly, prove to be even more harmful to your system. And, that’s the purpose of the ‘quiet period’. The tool does its best to increase its chances of success, i.e. to dupe you into clicking on ads that will only cause you grievances. So, no matter how appealing the advertisements seem, do not press even a single one. You’ll only regret it. As was stated above, the best course of action you can take is to delete the Flirchi program as soon as the opportunity presents itself. Otherwise, you risk way more than merely installing more malware on your PC. Yes, as unbelievable as it may sound, there’s a threat much larger than unwillingly flooding your computer with malicious tools. If you permit the PUP to stay, you’ll be jeopardizing your personal and financial details. Yes, the tool places your privacy at risk as it spies on you. It not only monitors your browsing but keeps a thorough record o every move you make online. When it deems it has enough data from you, it sends it to the unknown third parties that support it. These strangers can then use it as they see fit. Are you prepared to take such a risk? To hand your private life to unknown individuals with unclear, possibly wicked, agendas? It’s your decision. However, know that experts strongly advise towards the Flirchi virus’ immediate deletion. You choose whether to trust them or take a gamble, an unnecessary and ill-advised gamble.
