How did I get infected with?
How do you think you got stuck with a program as obnoxious as Capricornus? As hard as it is to accept, you’re behind current predicament. It’s because of you, your lack of attention, your haste, and gullibility that the PUP managed to slither its way into your system. Deny it all you want. That doesn’t make it any less true. It’s your fault you now have adware on your PC. You were the one to open the door, invite it in, and watch it enter, looking straight at it, but not seeing it. That’s right. The nasty application slithers right past you, through the cracks your carelessness provides. Although, to be fair, you shouldn’t be too hard on yourself. Like all adware, Capricornus is an immensely crafty program. It preys on your distraction and dupes you into allowing it into your system without you even realizing it. Until the tool itself chooses to clue you into its existence, you’re oblivious. Its most commonly used means of invasion involve hiding behind spam email attachments, corrupted links or sites, or freeware. Also, it can pretend to be a fake system or a program update, like Java or Adobe Flash Player. Do you see the common denominator? Each method relies on your lack of caution. Without you giving into naivety and distraction and rushing, the application cannot succeed in its endeavors to infiltrate your PC. So, unless you wish an annoying, harmful program to plague your browsing and bury you in troubles, be more careful. Remember, even a little extra attention goes a long way.
Why are these ads dangerous?
Capricornus is a deceptive tool. One, you shouldn’t place your trust into because it doesn’t deserve it. It’s an unreliable application that only pretends to be useful. It does its best to convince you that it’s worthy of your faith, but heed this warning: it’s not! It is NOT a helpful tool. It does NOT assist you. What it does is mess up your browsing, and put you through a never-ending bombardment of issues. Starting with the waterfall of ads. As was already mentioned, every time you try to go online, you’ll be interrupted by an entire myriad of pop-ups. Not only is that highly vexatious, but it’s also harmful. For one, because the endless disruption leads to a slower PC performance and frequent system crashes. But also because it presents you with a severe malware risk. The program’s pop-ups are highly unreliable. They’re bundled with various malicious applications just waiting to invade your system. And, you’re the one, who lets them. Do you wish to know how? If you press a pop-up, you unknowingly agree to install the malware it’s hiding. So, if you desire to flood your PC with more unwanted infections, click away. But if that’s not something you want, be very careful and don’t press even a single ad. But as unpleasant as that is, it’s still not the biggest issue, the tool will place upon you. Capricornus threatens your privacy. As soon as it sneaks into your system, it starts spying on you. It keeps track of your browsing activities, and catalogs every move you make online. Then, when it feels it has enough data from you, it proceeds to send it to the third parties that published it. That means, strangers with unclear agendas will have access to your personal and financial details. The question is, are you going to allow that to happen? Don’t! Do what’s best for you and your computer, and get rid of the PUP as soon as you see the first ad “Powered by Capricornus” pop up. You won’t regret it. On the other hand, if you allow it to stay, prepare yourself for an overwhelming feeling of, you guessed it – regret.
