AARTEMIS UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
Aartemis is an advertisement based malware, in short, and adware, which corrupts your system in more than one ways. A Potentially Unwanted Program or PUP, usually meddles with your internet browsers, changes the default search engine and the default homepage, and locks the settings to ensure they are not changed by the user in future. Aartemis virus ensures that its installation and operation goes undetected, while it installs in the background when you install a 3rd party freeware. When you download and install programs such as DivX player, or other video and audio streaming programs, or PDF converters, etc. the Aartemis virus downloads without user consent and its presence goes undetected until the major changes are noticed by the user.
This adware also may install other harmful malware and spyware, besides putting your personal and private data at risk. It gathers and tracks all your browsing habits, search history and internet cookies, and makes this information available for various advertisers and hackers, who can then misuse all the information you think is secure on your system.
Aartemis is installed in the background during bundled 3rd party freeware download and installs, when users unknowingly choose to use the default settings for the program installation. This “default” installation is actually bundled and leads the user’s system to be infected by these extremely annoying malware programs that not only hinder internet browsing, but also disrupt your work by constantly bombarding the user with unwanted adverts and pop-ups.
