Can’t Remove Weatherly? This page includes detailed Weatherly Removal instructions!
Weatherly is a dubious online application. In other words, it gives you fake promises to provide weather forecasts. In reality, the one thing Weatherly provides is quick access to unreliable web links. You’re stuck with one deceptive, irritating and harmful PC virus. Weatherly has been classified as a PUP (potentially unwanted program). It’s certainly not a threat to be taken lightly. As soon as the virus gets installed, trouble begins. You will firstly notice a new extension added to your browsers. The Weatherly add-on injects your once trustworthy browsers with ads. All sorts of ads. All the time. Get yourself prepared to be bombarded with random advertisements on a daily basis. It goes without saying that your browsing experience is going to suffer from this. Every single website you visit (or attempt to visit) is now covered with pop-ups. What’s even more worrisome is the fact the Weatherly commercials are sponsored. Hence, they are immensely unsafe. Crooks have a serious reason to flood your PC screen with sponsored ads – gaining profit. However, that gives you a solid reason to uninstall the PUP. By keeping the parasite on board, you practically become a sponsor of cyber criminals. An affiliate of hackers. Are you willing to support their malicious business, though? Are you going to underestimate the threat Weatherly poses? The more time this pest spends on board, the more problematic it becomes. Its nasty pop-ups allow crooks to use the pay-per-click mechanism and gain revenue. Ultimately, their revenue comes at your expense. In addition to that, you have to keep in mind the Weatherly pop-ups are misleading. Some of them are safe and some of the lead you to malware. No, there is no telling which is which. The only way to find out would be if you click the commercial open. As you can see, though, that’s a rather unwarranted risk. You may land on extremely dangerous websites filled with viruses. Due to the PUP’s presence, you’re now constantly one click away from malware. This program also redirects you to unknown pages. Once again, it uses that trick to boost web traffic. Your computer speed will be slowed down as well. There’s more. Unfortunately, such parasites have a rich variety of tricks in store. Weatherly completely alter your preferred browser settings. It could cause you privacy issues too. You see, the virus collects browsing-related data. For example. browsing history, usernames and passwords, IP addresses. All that information gets sent straight into the hands of crooks. Take measures ASAP to prevent irreversible damage.
How did I get infected with Weatherly?
Infections don’t wait for your approval. Instead, the PUP must have relied on the classic stealthy techniques. Number one method is freeware and shareware bundling. Why? Because it’s the perfect combination of secretive and effective. No wonder it’s hackers’ favorite. All kinds of PC viruses imaginable travel the Web bundled. That means, next time you download such programs off of the Internet, you have to take your time. Even though many people tend to rush the installation process, that’s a mistake. You may accidentally skip opportunities to protect your machine from parasites. Stay away from illegitimate websites or bundles. During the process, opt for the Custom option in the Setup Wizard. This could guarantee you that you’ll be the one in charge. Otherwise, it might be hackers. Check out the programs you’re about to download one by one. Watch out for potential intruders beforehand. Avoid clicking third-party pop-up ads as well. More often than not, these are corrupted and very dangerous. Another rule of thumb is to delete spam emails instead of opening them. Same thing goes for the spam messages you may come across in social media.
