Can’t Remove WeatherChickn ads? This page includes detailed ads by WeatherChickn Removal instructions!
Are you disturbed by a program named WeatherChickn? Is your PC screen constantly flooded with various commercials in various shapes? Are you seeing pop-up ads on every single website you visit? Have your browser settings been modified behind your back? It’s quite clear that you’re dealing with adware. Also classified as a potentially unwanted program (PUP), WeatherChickn brings commercials to you. And by commercials we mean discounts, coupons, product deals, product offers, best prices, price comparisons, etc. Prepare to be bombarded with a never-ending pile of annoying, useless, impressively stubborn pop-up ads. This is what adware does. It invades your PC system and immediately goes after your browsers. Then it injects them with pop-ups. Do you know why adware-type programs are so stubborn when it comes to commercials? Because adware-type programs (WeatherChickn included) are ad-supported. Now, WeatherChickn comes for free. Its developers need to find another monetizing technique in order to gain profit which is where the ads come in handy. Hackers are actually making money out of flooding your PC screen with advertisements and other sponsored web links. The problem is, “sponsored” certainly doesn’t mean “safe”. As long as crooks keep on getting their illegitimate revenue, this parasite will keep on generating ads regardless of the potential threats they might bring along. If you want to prevent further damage (and we assume you do), stay away from the ads. A single careless click is just about enough to turn your once infection-free PC into a compromised one. Of course, surfing the Web also becomes problematic because you now stumble across irritating web links all the time. There’s no getting rid of pop-ups without tackling the virus first. Logically, that is exactly what we advise you to do. WeatherChickn also serves as a back door to malware, causes your overwhelmed browsers to crash and freeze and overall destroys your browsing experience. As if that wasn’t enough, WeatherChickn spies on your personal data. That mainly includes browsing-related information such as passwords, usernames, IP addresses, email addresses, search queries, browsing history, etc. However, it might get worse. If you’re particularly unlucky, WeatherChickn could attempt to steal some personally identifiable data as well. As you could imagine, financial frauds and, the absolute worst case scenario, identity theft, are not threats to be underestimated. Long story short, the sooner you delete this pest, the better.
How did I get infected with?
Can you recall installing this program? No? Unfortunately, most parasites simply don’t need your approval in order to get installed. That is because there are numerous stealthy installation techniques online which bypass your permission. WeatherChickn applied one of them. The parasite might have entered your system via a spam email-attachment or a spam message. Third-party pop-ups are yet another popular virus infiltration method you should keep an eye out for. Have you recently downloaded some bundled software off of the Internet? Keep in mind that might have infected you. Bundled freeware/shareware is among the most popular techniques out there at the moment. All that is required from you in order to compromise your machine is to install a bunch of programs without paying much attention to the process. Needless to say that’s a mistake. Always check out the software you’re about to download in advance so you’re aware exactly what enters your computer. Last but not least, take your time to go through the EULA (End User License Agreement). This might seem to be a time-consuming thing to do right now but it will surely save you time and energy in the long run. Watch out for potential intruders and be cautious when it comes to your cyber security.
Why are these ads dangerous?
WeatherChickn’s browser extension works with some of the most popular browsers on the Web. That means it doesn’t matter which browser you typically use because the virus will harass you regardless. For instance, WeatherChickn modifies Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer to serve hackers’ malicious purposes. Your permission or authorization of any kind is not required. Once this program gets activated, it will start generating an excessive amount of unreliable, sponsored, potentially harmful ads. As we already mentioned, you have to avoid all of them if you want to protect your PC. Also, due to the parasite’s trickery, there might be some additional toolbars that get installed without your consent and WeatherChickn might even display corrupted software updates. The virus slows your computer speed to a crawl so it gives you no reason to keep it on board and many reasons to remove it ASAP. To delete this nuisance manually, please follow the detailed removal guide you’ll find down below.
