How did I get infected with?

Joyic is quite the sneaky application. It not only manages to slither into your system but does so without you even realizing it. Oh, yes. And, that’s despite the fact that it has to ask for, and receive, your approval for its installation. Think about it. It takes skill to accomplish that trickery. The application slithers in undetected with the help of slyness and subtlety, but you also pay a crucial role in its success. Or rather, your carelessness. The tool preys on your distraction, haste, and naivety to fool you into agreeing to install it without you even being aware of it. How? Well, that seems to be the million-dollar question. It’s pretty straightforward. Joyic turns to the old and gold means of infiltration to dupe you into giving it the green light. More often than not, it gains access by hiding behind freeware as it’s possibly the easiest way to your system. For reasons beyond comprehension, users tend to pay little to no attention during freeware installs. They rush the process and, what’s worse, knowingly choose NOT to read the terms and conditions. Instead, they agree to everything and hope for the best. Well, needless to say, to throw caution to the wind and rely on luck, is a dreadful strategy. One, which almost always results in hazardous repercussions for your PC, and regret for you. Don’t make the mistake of relying on luck! You’ll severely regret it once your system starts to get overwhelmed with troubles. Don’t give into naivety, haste, and distraction! Be more careful and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much trouble that will end up saving you.

Why are these ads dangerous?

Do you like to be spammed with, what seems to be, an endless amount of pop-up advertisements? Do you like to be flooded by an ever-flowing waterfall of ads each and every time you try to browse the web? If you do, you’re in luck, because Joyic will do just that! It will bombard you with a never-ending stream of advertisements every time you attempt to go online. Do you believe you’ll enjoy having your browsing interrupted incessantly? That will hardly be the case. But don’t think your issues will end with just these interruptions. Oh, no. The application will do far more than just disrupt your browsing. That’s just the beginning, the mere tip of the iceberg. For one, due to the ever-present advertisements, you’ll soon start to experience more unpleasantness. Because of the constant appearance of the disruptive ads, your system will soon begin to crash frequently, and your computer’s performance will slow down to a crawl. And, the flood will never cease because it’s an ad-supported application. That means its entire existence rests on its ability to generate web traffic and pay-per-click revenue. To put it plainly, the more ads the tool tricks you into clicking on, the bigger the profit it produces, thus ensuring its future. But these are just the minor inconveniences you’ll be forced to put up with, courtesy of Joyic. The more prominent ones, the one that should worry you the most, are the grave malware risk and the severe security threat you’ll be exposed to because of the adware. The malware risk comes from the obnoxious ads. Unfortunately, they’re not just annoying. They’re immensely unreliable and bundled with various malicious tools just waiting to pounce on your PC. And, do you know what? You give them the green light and let them in. How? Well, by pressing the program’s pop-ups. So, don’t do that! Ignore the ads as best as you can, and don’t click on even a single one. As for the security threat, it derives from the fact that the PUP spies on you. Oh, yes. It begins as soon as it enters your system. It keeps track of your browsing activities and catalogs every move you make. When it deems it has gathered a sufficient amount of data from you, it sends it to the people that published it. That means unknown third parties will be given access to your personal and financial details. Are you going to allow that? Are you okay with strangers having your private life at their disposal? Because once they get their hands on your sensitive information, they can use it as they see fit. The question is, are you going to allow that? Here’s a hint: don’t! It’s not worth it, Joyic is not worth it. Delete it at once. It’s the best thing to do.
