How did I get infected with?

HitBuzz resorts to the usual antics so as to invade your system. Its trickery involves using the old but gold methods of invasion. More often than not, the application hitches a ride with freeware as it provides possibly the easiest access point. That’s because, for some reason, users rush its installation process and don’t pay nearly as enough attention as they should. Instead of carefully reading the terms and conditions, they just consider it a good idea to agree to everything. Well, it is most certainly NOT a good idea. It’s not even an “okay” one. Agreeing to something without knowing what it is exactly, is a horrendous idea that leads to horrible repercussions. And, unless you wish to experience them first-hand, don’t give into naivety, haste, and distraction! Other ways of infiltration HitBuzz often turns to involve hiding behind spam email attachments, corrupted links, or websites. The tool can also pretend to be a bogus system or program update. For example, while you may be convinced that you’re updating your Java or Adobe Flash Player, but, in reality, you’re giving the green light to a malevolent, harmful tool. Remember that it’s crucial to be more careful if you wish to avoid getting stuck with adware such as HitBuzz. A little extra attention can save you a lot of troubles and headaches.

Why are these ads dangerous?

HitBuzz doesn’t throw so many pop-ups your way for fun. It is an ad-supported application, and the ads help it continue its existence. By tricking you into clicking on its pop-ups, the tool generates web traffic and produces pay-per-click revenue for the third parties that support it, and, thus, is able to proceed with its operations. Since it’s so important for the program to fool you into clicking on the pop-ups, it leaves nothing to chance. In order to increase its likelihood of success, the application does its homework on you. Once it settles in your system, it begins observing your browsing habits so it can learn what your preferences include. Once it understands what you like and dislike, the program known which ads will have a better shot at sparking your interest and result in a click, i.e. profit. Then it floods you with these “appropriate” ads. However, whatever you do, do NOT be deceived into clicking on them! The pop-ups are highly unreliable, and a click will only result in you unwillingly approving the installation of more malware. So, do your best to ignore the ads no matter how enticing they seem. As was already mentioned, there’s an issue much worse than the ads and the troubles they cause. HitBuzz doesn’t stop at merely monitoring your browsing habits. It catalogs every move you make, and then sends the collected information to the people behind the program. Are you willing to grant access to your personal and financial details to wicked strangers with agendas? Think long and hard before you answer.
