Downquick is an adware tool. It’s marketed as a useful tool that assists you in speeding up your downloads and manage your files quicker and with greater ease. That sounds like a grand service, and it would have been positively fantastic if it were true. But it’s not. It’s bogus. All of the tool’s pampered claims are unsubstantiated and fall in the category of ‘lies’. Don’t fall for them. Unfortunately, behind this quite clever advertising campaign lurks nothing more than your average, everyday PUP. Once it has slithered its way into your system, it starts wreaking havoc and making a mess. And, you can by quite sure that the more you postpone the removal of the tool from your PC, the bigger that mess will grow to become. Do you wish to be forced to deal with a never-ending, ever-growing pile of problems on a daily basis? That’s what you agree to if you choose not to remove the application. Don’t idly stand by and put up with the tool’s shenanigans. It’s not worth even half the troubles it ends up causing you. Do yourself a favor, and delete it as soon as you first its presence. You won’t regret it.
How did I get infected with?
Downquick is a masterful application. It not only fools you into agreeing to its installation but also keeps you clueless to it. That’s right. You have no idea that you gave your permission to the install of a hazardous infection on your computer. But you did. Do you wish to know how the PUP managed to dupe you? Well, it used slyness and finesse. The tool tricks you by preying on your carelessness. It usually hides behind freeware and slips right by you when you’re supposed to be looking, but you’re not. For reasons unknown, most users rush through freeware installations. They skip reading the terms and conditions altogether, and just agree to everything in haste. That’s a colossal mistake. One, which almost always leads to surprises of the unpleasant variety. Just like Downquick. So, instead of giving into distraction, haste, and naivety, be more cautious! Spend as much time as you have to so as to thoroughly familiarize yourself with what you are asked to agree to, instead of blindly agreeing with it. You have everything to gain from those extra few minutes of attention. And, you can be sure that it can save you a bundle of troubles and headaches.
Why are these ads dangerous?
Downquick does its very best to convince you that it’s trustworthy and useful and deserves to be allowed to stay on your computer. Don’t fall for its treachery. The reality quite differs from the picture the application is trying to paint. In actuality, it’s a malevolent, intrusive, and harmful PUP that severely damages your system if you let it. So, don’t let it. And, it’s not just that, the tool also jeopardizes your personal and financial information. The issues begin with the commencement of the pop-up ad bombardment it will expose you to. Each and every time you try to browse the web, it will interrupt you with an entire myriad of advertisements. Not only will that be infuriating, but apart from vexation, the ads’ continuous presence will also bring you a slower PC performance and frequent system crashes. Another ‘joy’, you’ll experience because of them, will be the severe malware threat they’ll place upon you. The ads are bundled with various malicious tools, and if you press a single pop-up, you unknowingly agree to install the malware it’s hiding. If you wish to avoid that, and NOT get your system overrun with even more unwanted malware, ignore the ads and don’t click on them. Or, better yet, delete Downquick as soon as you get the chance to do so. That way, you’ll also avoid the security risk. The application threatens your private details as it spies on you. It keeps a record of every move you make online and then sends the collected data to the unknown third parties that published it. Do you wish to hand your privacy to strangers with questionable intentions? Don’t take such a gamble. As soon as you spot the first ad “Powered by Downquick”, take action! Delete the PUP. It’s for the best.
