If you are feeling nostalgic and want to get back to that time, and get rid of these pop-ups, the only way to do it, is to delete the program altogether. That’s why you should follow experts’ advice and remove this malicious and intrusive application as quickly as possible. You’ll spare yourself a ton of headaches and troubles, and your future self will thank you for it.
How did I get infected with?
Nav-links resorts to the usual antics when it comes to infecting your system. It has an entire array of tricks up its sleeve with which to deceive you into allowing it in without you even realizing it. More often than not, it relies on freeware as it provides possibly the easiest access point. All this malicious application has to do, is hide behind the freeware and wait until you give it the green light. It’s that easy, because, for some reason, users choose to rush through the freeware’s installation process and don’t bother reading the terms and condition. Instead, they just agree to everything in haste and end up paying for it. If you want to get stuck with adware like Nav-links, that’s certainly the way to go. But if you don’t, be more attentive, and you might avoid it.
Why are these ads dangerous?
Nav-links is an ad-supported application, which means there’s a reason behind the incessant bombardment of pop-ups. The ads have one goal, and that is to generate pay-per-click revenue for the third parties behind the program. You are flooded with them because each ad, you are tricked into clicking on, is profit for these people. And for them, that’s all that matters. They don’t care that the ads are highly unreliable, or that they will lead to more malware getting onto your computer. They only care about their malicious purposes. But don’t think that Nav-links only bombards you with pop-up ads, because its repertoire is much more prolific than that. The program slows down your PC’s performance to a crawl and causes frequent system crashes. Not impressed? Well, worst of all, this malevolent application jeopardizes your personal security. Nav-links is designed to start monitoring your browsing activities immediately after infection. It keeps track of every move you make, catalogs it, and then proceeds to send the collected data to the aforementioned individuals. Are you willing to provide unknown wicked people with access to your private information? Don’t take such a risk, and delete Nav-links as soon as you possibly can.
